For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About
This is not your average tower defense game. This is Obliterator-X, a brutal tower defense roguelike where you build, scavenge, and survive against relentless mutant hordes across scorched Outback-inspired landscapes. Assign combat drones, loot schematics, and blast through waves of enemies in a game where death is part of the plan and the beginning of your next upgrade path.

In Obliterator-X, every run begins with a short scavenging phase before enemies arrive, letting you explore buildings for loot and choose how to prepare. You will place traps, set turrets, and assign drones to suit your strategy. If you die, you bring back materials, experience, and new upgrades that permanently improve your odds in future runs.
Your time before the wave begins is critical. Use it to loot abandoned rooms, uncover powerful new weapons, and find blueprints for advanced defenses. Drones can be assigned to help you explore or guard key areas, letting you adapt your plan on the fly based on what you find and what is coming.

After each run, return to your base of operations where you can spend collected scrap, electronics, and food to unlock and build new facilities. Each building adds new functionality to the game, such as unlocking a minimap, revealing enemy paths, or increasing the power of your tech. Every structure can also be upgraded, creating long-term progression and new layers of strategy.

Use the skill tree to unlock powerful passive bonuses across four categories: Combat, Defense, Science, and Resources. Improve your stun effects, increase your resource yields, unlock smarter drone behaviors, and more. Every decision you make helps define your playstyle and build toward a stronger survivor.

Each successful run brings you closer to uncovering new parts of the world map. Explore distinct biomes, each with their own enemy types, environmental hazards, and loot opportunities. Whether it's a scorched outback, frozen wasteland, or twisted city ruin, every zone offers new challenges and strategic choices. As you unlock new regions, you will also encounter tougher enemy waves and better gear, encouraging long-term progression and replayability.

Fun roguelike crafting building game great use of drones to aid you. Very playable on steam deck didn't even need to edit any controls. Nothing revolutionary but just simple and fun to play decent challenging gameplay. 9/10 https://youtu.be/wK1Jgm7qdGQ?si=CZnMHQiNhkFVHbsN
Fun mix of action roguelike twin-stick (or KB/M) and tower defense, with base building between rounds. The nicely detailed store page will give you all you need to know in terms of how the game plays because while it's not overwhelming, there's more going on here than your average action roguelite or tower defense. The art is nice enough in a simple pixel art style but I wish it zoomed out more -- the game's zoom level depends on which weapon you're wielding (for example, shotgun is zoomed in further than rifle) and it's all a little too close up. On my 42" OLED on my desk I'm looking at pixels the size of ham sandwiches. The music started off with some really rippin' metal, very professional sounding (Rotting Christ, apparently), but then some levels have more ambient background music, a really jarring shift there. The game has a long ramp upward as there are a lot of weapons you can buy and upgrade, and also the more drones you have, the more you can make them do. You can have some scanning the environment for loot, some building or fetching, and some on defense with you. Or manage them to complete tasks together. There's a lot of ways to approach the looting and defense in this game and there's a lot of depth here for five bucks. If you're a fan of either genre I suggest you check it out.

Obliterator-X is a roguelite action game with tower defense mechanics set in the Australian outback. You play as a clone fighting off waves of mutants and laser emus (damn you, laser emus!). Feels fitting to be in the apocalyptic world, and you scavenge sticks of RAM from piles of mutant corpses. Wish there were drop bears tho. Each run has you gathering resources, setting up defenses, and preparing for increasingly challenging enemy waves. It can get surprisingly tough, but thanks to its roguelite progression, losing never feels overly punishing. Even failed runs reward you with XP, unlocks, and keeping scavenged weapons, making each attempt feel meaningful progression. Overall, it’s a solid package with that classic “just one more run” pull as you experiment with different defensive structure layouts and try to find better guns. Protips: Stack on reload speed perks and get guns with exploding bullets. 7/10 Horde Challenges Video: https://youtu.be/zcx3RMyPQ6c
It has a bit of basic base defense while you fight off waves of the swarm. Way better product than I expected for an obscure game like this, with some striking audio/visuals. That said, I found it boring to play.
Obliterator-x is a core defense game (if thats even a genre) where you try to defend the core in the middle of the map, using drone you can purchase permanently, tower that you can build using the temporary currency in the map and your own skills and gun. There is no set path the wave spawn it which is why i wouldn't consider this a traditional tower defense game and you can finish level without tower if you want althoug ha bit harder. In between wave, you also have the chance to explore the map a little and try to find better weapon, loot or temporary upgrades which make it more interesting than just a tower defense game. I had a few complains at the start like no minimap, or the noise mechanic not making sense but you can unlock the mini map and unlock a skill that make the sounds go down after each wave pretty soon so these complains were gone pretty fast. You will have to grind the maps a little bit before going to the next one or you will be underleveld or a bit undergeared if you don't, making the next one harder. Some people might not like that but i found that it was fine, not too grindy but not too fast either. The only remainings small complain that i have is that i wish i could zoom out the game even more, i know that clicking the right joystick once unzoom it a bit but it still feel too close to me, and after defeating a boss, i wish i had more time to collect the loot the enemy dropped. When having multiple turrets and drone, you have a really big range to collect stuff and i'm often seeing the end screen with multiple loot that i wasn' able to collect.
I feel like my experience is not really representative of the game, at least balance-wise, because I got a gun so strong in the first level after the tutorial that I used it until the credits rolled. So an aspect that I imagine is supposed to be fun, which is the looting, was just ignoring 99% of all guns dropped because every gun was weak af compared to the one I got 20 min into the game. The screen felt really busy, and a lot of the time I had trouble finding my cursor and had to shoot my gun first to find it. Also, the default zoom of the game is way too close, and you change it by pressing a keybind, so the majority of my experience I felt like there was something wrong with the resolution since you can't change the zoom in the settings. The game overall feels clunky in a gamey way, and with a banger OST that cements the game away from feeling atmospheric. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I imagine some more polishing would really improve the game. With that said, I don't think it's a bad game, along with a cheap price, it might be worth it if you are stuck playing on a potato or you want some flash game nostalgia feeling. I just felt I could have spent my time on a better game. If they polish the rough edges, you might find a worthwhile game.
this is early access at best riddled with bugs, balance issues, qol issues, ... not worth the price tag imo
For the amount of fun you will get for this price its well worth it. From the sound desing, interface, art and gameplay i give it a 10/10 across the board. The UI is so well thought and I enjoyed the intuitive tutorial with a cool story. Music is a banger. This is one of those games that we will see as overwhelmingly positive as it offers a unique combination from other games that I was just looking for and it is really well made.
This game is a love letter to other flash games I remember playing as a kid. It's polished, has great rpg elements, and progression to make the waves feel very rewarding. The graphics, and carnage are great on screen and to have an interesting story to boot? I'm sold! Super fun as a shooter, and base builder hybrid. I'm already telling my other friends to give this game a try too! Always nice when you find something new that comes out of the blue :D
This game managed to scratch a very hard to reach itch that I have for the old days playing flash games. I came here and got exactly what I was looking for. Not too deep, yet every detail was thought and planned carefully. Played once and finished the game. Realized that I can play
without skin
and did it with a new game from scratch. finished it. Learnt about new game plus, had to do a third gameplay. The learning curve is fine, at one point I had to rethink and plan out my stuff and actually play tower defence. Just finished 100% the game. Definetively worth the money and you can tell it has a part of the developer heart. The bosses may seem a little underwhelming but that's because they shine later on in the
hoard mode
and the
new game plus
Now this things that I'd like to point out. The game as it is fine. But I want to point out some of the following: 1) There are some weapon modifiers that I don't know what they do. There's no ingame description, sandbox to test things out or an outside wiki to check 2) some weapon modifiers are there but don't really add to the game, like poison and ice. Ice doesnt do much since you're slowing the enemies when they're almost near the emitter. Poison is dot but in this game you need to kill enemies fast enough to prevent the emitter being destroyed and that timing makes poison dot almost useless.
