Objects in Space is a retro space game centred on 2D point-and-click stealth action in a massive open world. Players have their own customisable ships and can meet people, become a trader, bounty hunter, explorer, scavenger or all of them at once.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 10 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Bugs. Strange issue with broken text. Couldn't fix it.
Excellent Game concept another game coming out as of September 1st, 2026 called Deck+Conn looks nearly identical to this game, however objects in space has received zero updates in YEARS and still charges 25 dollars USD. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, DO NOT BUY DECK+CONN UNTIL REVIEWS/PROGRESS OCCURS. In summary great concept game is ABANDONWARE
I really want to like this game but there are too many issues. The good: - The game is a space sim like no other, you feel more like a submarine in space than what other games usually go for and I like that. - The ships commands and buttons, screws and modules feel very tactile and satisfying. The bad: - Very unstable in my 17 hours of playing I have 10 crashes, since I wasn't really playing all 17 (I would pause the game while i do something else). I think I am closer to 10h play time, which means 1 crash every hour. Usually on the station which normally isn't an issue since the game autosaves there. - The save files can get corrupted, this is why I stopped playing. I went to Sagan's lights, a pirate tried to shoot me. I turned on my PD and fired my own EMP torpedoes. Local authorities immediately flocked to me (I feel like they teleported to me instead of hunting the pirate in the first place) and opened fire destroying my ship (firing EMP torpedoes in self defense is a crime I guess...). Ok... I then reloaded to the station in Leo (I used a jump drive to get to Sagan's) undocked and the local authorities immediately started firing on me again. Doesn't matter how many times I re-loaded I would get auto targeted by every authority and military ship on the map for something I technically didn't even do at this point (the save was before I even went to that system)! 0/10 wasted save and 10-17h of playtime lost because of a bug! Other than that: - Lack of storage control in game, there are pods and you transport resources for money (quests). However there is no way to group resources into one pod, so you can be artificially full, just because you have 5 beers in 6 pods, instead of 30 in two pods. It would make sense to disable moving items while flying, but when docked at a port it makes no sense, especially since the game already features a "port crane" which allows you to move around modules but not items in storage... - Item shop issues: a) The stats in the modules menu only compare base stats but do not show the currently modified ones (even though the store sells modified parts). b) There is no undo button if you miss click and sell something on accident c) The game gives you obfuscated information in regard to modules even though they cost an arm and a leg, "very bad" very good" etc. But doesn't actually tell you what exactly is it good at, is the difference even worth it. d) The game really encourages ship modification and has a mini game of trying to find the perfect parts and slapping the best components into them. However! if you ever decide to upgrade a ship you automatically sell every component even if it took you hours to track down the best ones - And finally arbitrary lockdown of the speed up feature when "in danger" it doesn't matter if the torpedo is half a map away or if the ship next to you is a random merchant with their transponder off, the game will not allow you to speed up. This is the worst when you and that random merchant are going in the same direction and there aren't any authorities to make them turn it on...

Really want to like this, it's got great bones. But unfortunately its pretty much just abandonware at this point, totally unfinished and no effective communication from the devs for years.Do not buy. Disappointing.
I bought it a few months after it was put on here, so I might as well throw in my warning also. I see this game once in a while in my gamelist from time to time and it COULD have been a great game actually. But once they got that grant money from (I think) the Australian government, the game did its primary job and they bailed. Its a pity.
Задумка классная, но баги внутриигровых интерфейсов делают глазам больно. Судя по всему (если верить сообщениям в "центре сообщества игры") игра заброшена разработчиками. Не рекомендую к покупке пока/если её не поправят
Will not run at all in Windows 11. Do not buy. Also abandoned.
