About
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

one of a kind air sim game would recommend a+++
Oyun iyi güzel ama Gerçek uçaklar olmaması biraz canı sıkıyor 10 dolara bunu vermek yerine gidip başka oyun almanızı öneririm ama füze mekanikleri baya iyi
one of the most elaborate yet easy-to-pick-up simcade games i've ever seen, probably the best 15 bucks i've ever spent
TLDR: If you want an in depth flight sim lite experience, buy this game. If you want a super fun arcade flight experience, buy this game. If you're anywhere in the middle, buy this game. It is the perfect gateway into the incredible world of flight sim, while not being shallow or dry. Pros: 1. If you're new to flight sims, but are interested in getting into the genre, this game was literally made for you. It has all the essentials any robust flight sim game needs, while cutting all the fat that isn't "necessary." (I actually really enjoy all of that "unnecessary" stuff, such as aircraft startup procedures and such, but I'm also super autistic and I'm not an idiot, so I know other people might not) 2. For flight sim vets, this game still has plenty of fun things for you to discover and learn. The flight models are really well thought out, the physics of flight are all there in spades, and the airframe destruction mechanics alone will keep your monkey brain entertained for at least 2 hours XD 3. It's in the name, but if you can't read game titles for whatever reason, there are nukes in this game. And they add more complexity than you might think at first. For flight arcade vets, you might have had something like them before (genuinely don't know if you did or not, only played Ace Combat 7 and Project Wingman. I mostly play DCS and VTOL VR, not really an arcade flight guy). Nukes in NO are nuanced by the fact that they aren't just a win button. You have to be strategic with them. Fly low in a fast jet to get them close to the enemy and then drop it at the best possible moment, but not too soon or too late cause they can have a maximum of 16 seconds before they detonate, and they can be destroyed in that time, wasting your team's money, your time, and maybe even your aircraft (if you get shot down. skill issue) 5. The Music. It's peak. It's worth buying the game for the music alone. 6. The variety of airframes is incredibly well thought out. You want to go A-10 style close air support? A-19 Brawler. You want to be Frogfoot style subsonic multi-role? T/A-30 Compass. You want to be a flying stealth Dorito of death by 48 glide bombs? SFB-81 Darkreach. Maybe deep-strike stealth bombing is more your style? Try the newest aircraft in the roster, the AB-4 Alkyon. Just don't get shot down in that thing, they're expensive. which brings me to my next point! The game modes of Nuclear Option are not as simple as they might seem at first. The two most interesting modes are what all focus on, as they are 96% of my playtime (and counting). Escalation, and Terminal Control. 7. Escalation. Weather online, or solo, escalation is a game mode that rewards quick decision making and resource management. Your team starts with a limited budget, and you get give a fraction of it. But be wise with your money, it might be smarter to save it to get a super expensive aircraft later. But you might not be able to complete the sortie you set for yourself if you don't have an expensive plane. That's ok, just use one of your team's reserves, it doesn't cost you anything (except the payload. you still pay for that). But wait! You're not high enough rank to ask your team for that aircraft, so you hop into a low tier aircraft (which is far cheaper, making it less devastating to lose) and do a different mission to earn the rank, or money, you need. Once you eliminate the enemy's ability to produce more challenges, you win! 8. Terminal Control. Most of what is true about escalation is true here too. The map is far bigger, and instead of two islands, you have an entire archipelago to fight over. The mission has also changed from destroy everything, to destroy everything, and then claim the dust and ash the remains, by landing at whatever air field it might be, or guiding your ground units to that location, so they can capture it. 9. The music. Seriously. It's that good. As I write this, I'm listening to the OST. I had to put it twice. I'm legally obligated. (not really) Cons: 1. It might not have the insane amounts of details or 1-1 style gameplay that DCS has. The cockpits are not full fidelity, but they do serve a purpose. The weapons, ground units, ships, and aircraft in the game are not real. Meaning there might be things that happen that make a hardcore DCS player confused. Understand that this is a game set in a fictional future, meaning that yes, AGM-48 and 68 can avoid terrain on their own, and then yes, they will take evasive maneuvers to try and avoid being intercepted. 2. The game is still in development. While I don't care about that, and am more than content to be along for the ride, I know some people might find that off putting. There are no infantry ground units in the game, no artillery, and no super huge DCS style maps (yet). This might be a problem for some people, and to them I will say come back in a year. I think you'll be excited with what you see. That's it. That's all the cons I can think of. I haven't had a ton of performance issues (minor lag when strategic nukes were just unlocked and are now all landing, destroying almost everything on the map). My PC's specs are in this review so feel free to compare yours to mine. I am playing on a laptop, with an Xbox controller, and the game is great. No need for a HOTAS or Track-IR. Shoot, I've used Mouse and Keyboard for a while just fine too! So hop in, shoot stuff, and maybe get shot down! (honestly, skill issue. get good) All that being said, I adore this game, and I can't wait for it's development to continue. My hours at time of writing are nothing compared to what they will be in a year, let me tell you. To Shockfront Studios, thank you for this masterpiece of a game. My living situation is a bit precarious right now, so being able to unwind at the end of the day and play your kickass game has been such a blessing. Keep doing what ya'll are doing. I'll always be here to enjoy the ride! PALA FOREVER!!!
This can run on a 3lb 17inch laptop all the way to a 5090 ultrawide desktop. I cannot wait for more cargo planes and making fobs while in battle.
Very promising. Runs not that bad on potato
Honestly, Nuclear Option is a blast to play with friends, it really achieves a good balance of realism and fun factor with the game's mechanics, all the vehicles have their own niche to overcome the fight and it's fun if you're into a good flight and fight game similar to DCS. It's mechanics are simple and the game gets a good flow of updates and has compatibility for mods made by the community from its discord server.
