About
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

Excellent game. Far more polished in Early Access than many titles at release. Mechanics are considerably deep, aircraft & weaponry inventory is diverse and allow for many variations in playstyle. Has a small but thriving community, both in active players and modders. Very surprisingly for simulation-adjacent aircraft games, it is possible to play this game and have fun using only a standard twin-stick gamepad (e.g. 8bit pro2). The devs have gone above and beyond to make ergonmics as good as possible for that sort of interface. Naturally NO can be played with full HOTAS + TrackIR setup too. Keyboard+mouse is technically possible but I recommend at the very least an Xbox-compatible gampad. There are areas that need some polishing (such as some elements of the UI, and conveyance for new players), but this is 100% playable, worth the money to purchase, and the time to spend on it.
get shot thru buildings and mountains, somehow missiles will still lock you even after your system says you aren't being tracked anymore. ECM jammers and flares don't do anything on helicopters, map bugs out, landing gears get damaged for no reason, the missile system needs work. the loadouts are really limited per vehicle, only 2 or 3 types of missiles or bombs for some reason. you will randomly hit vortex ring state and crash while somehow flying 100kn forward. if you run out of money your ♥♥♥♥♥♥. id say grab it if you see it for 5 bucks but it isn't worth more than that.
Its a bit repetitive, but overall fun n chill
best ea game so far
Very fun, it's especially easy to get into. Only thing that I find lacking is the amount of planes, which in hindsight is going to be fixed anyways.
Such a fun and intense game i recommend this game to any one that has that itch for flight sim games that are realistic yet basic enough to learn on the fly. My only wish for this game is for them to allow people to play as ground units it would add a lot of depth to the game as well as a challenge for pilots to maneuvering towards objectives in the hills and valleys. I love to play a support role and make sure the bases are fully repaired and enough AA to take on the mission.
So good, so much potential
