Vampire Survivors was a very fun game, and all of the copycats it’s spawned really don’t have to do all that much to also be fun if they just copy the right parts of the formula. Nomad Survival is pretty emblematic of this mediocre copycat-VS game, because it’s basically a boring, pared-down version of VS, and the parts of it where it strays from the formula are the worst parts. I came through this game wondering if it had been playtested. The choice to have some of the hero attacks force you to stop moving or suddenly speed you up was absolutely miserable; you were basically locked into using the “move while attacking” boon for the Divine because trying to play with her otherwise was just such an awful experience, but I hated the quickguy (or whatever it was called) even more — trying to outmaneuver a mob only to suddenly careen sideways was just so frustrating. Then on the other side, the Paladin’s attack was so OP that I saw people giving advice that was just “literally use paladin and stand in one place” to beat hard modes; there was no reason to ever use a different hero. The attacks had the same problem; the fire wand was the worst — it routinely did 30% more damage over the course of the run compared to other weapons, even when all fully upgraded, while stuff like the ghost sword was useless in comparison. The raccoon pet was broken, too, especially on the last level, where it would bring the AOE towers to you to focus down, meaning you could camp in a nook and literally put the game down and do other things while the paladin autowon the level. It was a crazy easy game. But it cribs juuuust enough from VS that the basic gameplay loops is still satisfying in a mindless way — I ended up 100%ing it just going robotically through runs when I was too tired to do anything that required using my brain. I don’t regret playing it through, but it also wasn’t, like, good. It was boring and deeply uninteresting. I think the only reason I’d rec this would be if you’ve already blown through VS and the better games in the genre but still wanted that gameplay in a new package.

Great bullet heaven with a very satisfying sense of progression. Unlocks and pets give every run a purpose, so it never feels like wasted time. The game has that "just one more run" energy where an hour disappears before you notice. Fun, rewarding, and packed with solid challenges. Easy to recommend if you like the genre.
The game plays fine mechanically, but the pacing is just not good. Other games like the original Vampire Survivors and Halls of Torment do a much better job of having clear phases in the enemy spawns, times to farm, times to move toward targets on the map, and generally keeping a suitable level of pressure as you level up. This game fails in that regard. Sometimes there are spikes in enemies, then for no reason a complete drop off, and it leads to 30 minute games where you spend much of the time just waiting for it to progress to the end, rather than feeling engaged the whole time. Also, the chest unlocks being random and scaling rapidly in reroll costs is an awful design that basically guarantees you will wind up with useless chest rewards. I don't see anything in this game to justify playing it over others in the genre.
Yet another survivor generic game that tries to make things different but the core gameplay is genuinely boring. Every single run I'm building the same thing, the events are sooo long and having the message show up 1 minute before the event trigger lowkey piss me off. The base game speed should be doubled it's just insanely slow and repetitive. I tried to give it a chance but I cannot recommend this one compared to simply better games like Vampire Survivors and Soulstone Survivors.
My friend gifted me Noman Survival, so I jumped straight in and instantly got hooked. I’ve only played for about an hour so far, but the gameplay is fast, simple, and seriously moreish. The 30-minute sessions make it really easy to hop in for a quick game and hop back out, although “just one more run” is definitely a trap! Really enjoying it so far and looking forward to playing more. Great little survival game if you want something easy to pick up but hard to put down.
Picked this up from my backlog with pretty much zero expectations, and honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised. If you like Brotato / Vampire Survivors-style games, Nomad Survival is definitely worth checking out. The gameplay is simple, but the runs are addictive, the progression feels good, and there’s enough variety to keep you coming back for “just one more run." Definitely worth a try! :)
Clever games curator review: 8/10. This is a very earnest clone of Vampire Survivors. It doesn’t stray very far from the source material. That said, since the game it is cloning is so fantastic, a lot of that rubs off on this game as well. Meanwhile, it manages to feel just different enough that you can enjoy running through it once you have gotten tired of Vampire Survivors. That’s not to say it’s an outright clone. The levels are different, there are a few differences in the upgrades, and the characters are pretty different. Plus, there’s this interesting second layer where you choose Powers that you can mix and match with different characters. So when I say that it’s a clone A I’m exaggerating a little bit, and B it’s in no way a criticism. I had a fun time with this, even if I absolutely would stick to Vampire Survivors first. Much like the source material, there’s a lot of choices for how to upgrade your character between runs. You get upgrades based on money, how many grunts you kill, and how many bosses you kill. Money is refundable, the other upgrades are not. In order to fully upgrade your character you’ll definitely have to do some grinding. Luckily, there are options to speed up the game 200 percent so that you can grind pretty easily if that’s your desire. So to conclude, this game is a lot of fun. I didn’t have any trouble with bugs. The controls worked well. And I’m not even sad in particular that it’s not more original. This felt a lot like getting to experience Vampire Survivors again for the first time.
Like many of the recently spawned bullet heaven clones, this game manages to copy the basics just fine for a couple of fun runs, but everything else feels like a notable downgrade, be it the bare-bones pixelated visuals, comparatively boring progression systems, or the uninspiring soundtrack. It seems almost deliberately designed not to stand out from the crowd. 6.0/10
