Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.29/day in the week to Jul 24 → 46.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is *THE* best game I have ever played. Not Undertale, not Rain World, Not Hollow Knight. This one. Nine Sols is the most 10/10 perfect masterpiece I have ever laid my eyes upon. I do not know if it will ever be topped. "All of it has now attained wholeness within the Tao."

A sublime sci-fi Metroidvania with Sekiro-style parry mechanics. As raw and unforgiving in aesthetic as it is in gameplay, Nine Sols is a game that rewards investment. This is the closest another game has come to matching the perfect catharsis of mastering a good Sekiro boss: combat and movement are pitch-perfect once you have your tools in hand. It shares some semblance of the slow-burn, after-the-cataclysm narrative design of Souls too, wrapped in a (perhaps less arcane) spiritual science fiction package that shows its hand gradually and carefully. It's violent, atmospheric and tense, but quiet just when it needs to be. Here and there, it tugs at heartstrings. Passion oozes from every design. The soundtrack is great, too. Constantly impressive; perhaps the greatest Metroidvania I've played. If you think there's any chance you might enjoy it, you owe it to yourself to try.

Nine Sols is almost a great game. Unfortunately, the entire game requires parrying of attacks. Now, don't get me wrong--I love Sekiro, I think it's the best single entry in the From Software catalogue. The problem is that Nine Sols doesn't quite match the fine-tuned combat that From are known for. There are plenty of attacks where the hitboxes extend far beyond where you would expect, with you often getting hit while standing behind enemies. On top of that, towards what I assume is the end of the early game you get what are known as "Unbound Counters" which are essentially super-parries. This enables you to parry a certain type of attack that previously you would have to dodge. However, these unbound counters require you to hold and then release the parry button, which makes precise timing difficult. In addition to this, many of the attacks that require this type of counter are so fast that unless you're just sat around waiting for an enemy to attack, you're almost certainly going to miss them as the telegraphing can be incredibly short. I know that a lot of people love this game but ultimately it isn't for me. I really enjoy the way that Sekiro encourages you to mix defence in with offence, and Nine Sols does expand on that, but unfortunately you're pretty much discouraged from attacking, as that prevents you from doing what seems to be intended: sit there passively, waiting for attacks to parry then once you have enough Qi, hit them with a talisman and start waiting again. I don't find that super engaging. Otherwise, this would be a pretty good metroidvania, I really like the map design (although some kind of player map markers would be nice) the art style is great, and the sound design is cool too. The plot is interesting, although there is a *lot* of dialogue which often feels a bit extra. If I was able to give this a rating out of 10, it would probably get a 6, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you enjoy punishing games that require incredible reflexes, while also not playing aggressively whatsoever.
