This game combines three things that I had never seen together in a game, and that work much better together than you might imagine. - Creature collecting for the purpose of raising/nurturing them - Roguelite Dungeon clearing - Lifesim village life and npc bonding Best of all, in my opinion, is the game letting you play at your own pace and in your own style. You want it cozier and less battle-heavy? There's a mode to make dungoneering easy. Want to do every possible thing you can do in a single day? Don't worry, there is no exhaustion mechanic that rushes you to bed so you don't faint, you can go for as long as you want before finishing the day. The hand-drawn art is charming, the companion pet is loveable and really useful, the developers are attentive and clearly passionate. TLDR: game fun.
I am absolutely having a blast with this game. I'm not really into creature collectors, but this one is super polished and just scratches various itches in a way that I'm truly loving it. So many great QOL inclusions. I love the pet dog, it controls really well. I'm not a big combat guy or roguelite but both are handled very well. The art is different but actually really good. The character portraits are awesome. The only negatives I might have are probably bound to be taken care of by the end of Early Access. One, I don't feel like there is a whole lot to do in the world. Mostly just dungeon diving. I hope the devs add more things to do as time goes on. And two, I honestly just wish there was more worldbuilding. I'm very much enjoying what I've learned of the world of the Nimbits so far and I hope they expand upon that as time goes on. For example, there is a library in the community center and I'd love to be able to read info in books there about the lore of the world. Anyway, I highly recommend this and hope more people find it and pick it up. Seriously, the devs should be very proud with how polished and well put together this game is. Great job.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I love this game! It's so fun, the gameplay loop is extremely satisfying, and I love the hands on approach to creature collecting and the positive messages it sends about conservation. Not only that, but the life simulator mechanics are such a refreshing combination with the roguelike core gameplay! The game also has one of the most unique approaches to fishing I've seen in a game like this. I really like it. It took some getting used to and can be frustrating depending on the fish you reel in, but it's a nice challenge! Really stoked to see how this game continues to evolve throughout EA and beyond.
I love this game! The nimbits are so cute especially when you're bottle feeding them as babies! This game is so unique and the artwork is beautiful. Very well done and super impressed that this is still early access. I cannot wait to see what the devs do in the future!
Forgot to bring tethers for catching Nimbits. Wasted a dive. So I went and built more habitat. 10/10 will dive tomorrow.
Fun mechanics with adorable characters; I only wish we could see more of the story itself. Definitely recommend, though. it's still in EA, so i'm sure it'll be even better later on. :)
Fresh from the academy, I decided to try my luck in Star’s End. This place might be rough, but it is full of possibilities. On my first day, I met all the townsfolk; they seem nice enough. The provided accommodations are simple, but most importantly, free. Now comes the real challenge: my first dive, armed with my eight "welcome" tethers. Spot a nimbit I don’t know? Catch it! Another unknown species? Catch that one too! Yet another? Gotta catch them all! But wait—what’s this? A boss? I’ll hit it until it’s nearly defeated and attempt to secure its shard. The probability of success is only 20%. The first try was a failure... but the second? A success! I rule! This is just the beginning of my dream: I want to be the very best, like no one ever was. Jokes aside, this is a fantastic game. I played the demo for hours and liked it so much that I bought the early game the moment it became available. It feels like a perfect blend of Stardew Valley and Pokemon, but with the unique added layer of nurturing your creatures. You prepare their biomes, teach them skills, and do everything possible to help them reach the highest grade. I love this concept; it scratches an itch I didn’t even know I had. Another great feature is that the game lets you proceed at your own pace. You don’t need to worry about running out of time in the day to meet the townsfolk, fish, care for your nimbits, and dive into the dungeon. When nighttime comes, time simply stops running. Very convenient! The art style is incredibly cute, and the townsfolk seem genuinely interesting. I absolutely love the dog companion. I cannot wait to try all the features that weren’t included in the demo.
I'm always looking for new Stardew-esque games that add in original mechanics to their gameplay, and Nimbit Frontier does this with the creature collecting angle! I also love how you can a team, essentially deciding what type of gameplay you want to be rewarded for (exploration, animal rearing, or combat). This game definitely has a learning curve, and the amount of different mechanics can be a little overwhelming at first, but I encourage new players to keep playing even when it gets hard. Somethings don't get revealed right away, or you may need to do some discovery work to find the solution. I think this is a fair priced game for something that is early access, and the devs seem to be good at updating the game and fixing bugs!
its VERy satisfying growing and training the nimbits and then finally releasing them lovely concept
This is one of the first games i've been influenced to buy during early access when I haven't heard of it beforehand. The artstyle and game mechanics really sold me. I have been looking for a fun creature collector game that is more than just an idle game, but also wasn't a deckbuilder and this one really fits the bill. Feels like stardew, cult of the lamb, and moonstone island all in one! I can't wait to see how it further expands. i will definitely be playing till i'm out of content, and then i'll be awaiting more!
