For those who love dashing in Hades, collecting in Pokemon, and meeting the neighbors in Stardew Valley--this game manages to seamlessly blend those elements, while building a world and gameplay loop that is all its own. As expected for an EA release, I've run into the odd thing that is a bit wonky, but even between the demo three weeks ago and the EA release today, I can already see the effort being put into fixing bugs and QoL improvements.
I was here for demo and early game testing and I have loved this game all throughout! It feels fresh and original while still tapping into the nostalgia and love I have for games like Pokemon and Stardew and others that aren't coming to mind right now. The fishing mini game feels different from others. Nothing feels like a rip off of anything, and I love that it's a husband/wife dev team. Lots of love obviously went into this game, I look forward to future updates and being a fan of this game for a long time.

Not a fan of typing but this game is super cute and perfect blend of attention keeping and cozy for me and the devs r super responsive, Highly recommend as they clearly care about this game!
The game is pretty fun, it basically feels like a cross between Stardew Valley and Cult of the Lamb. It feels more like its a rogue-lite than a cozy sim though. Every day has a clock similar to Stardew, and the townspeople move around the town based off the time on the clock, but there is no time limit in a day. After 12pm it just shows "Late" indefinitely, which means you don't have to chose between taking care of Nimbits, doing quests for townspeople, or going to the under wild for the rogue-like mode. Optimally you do everything and start your rogue-like run at night to finish your day off, playing like this essentially makes every day a different "run" since going to the under wild feels more mandatory than optional. However, it's also pretty nice not being pressed for time and feeling like you missed your chances to collect materials because you spent too much time managing your Nimbit habitats or doing quests for townsfolk.
I am not a pro gamer, but I am very much a cozy game connoisseur. I understand the usual set up for cozy games- a grandparent gives you a cottage somewhere remote and you become a farmer! I love that trope. HOWEVER- this game is not that. It finally shakes up the status quo of farmlife cozy games. Instead of fighting in a cave, you have a dungeon crawler. Instead of a farm, you have a biodome-like ranch. I also appreciate the step away from pixel-graphics and bringing a fresh look on animation. It reminds me of cult of the lamb, meets pokemon (which is a clear inspiration- in a good way, as it's respectful), meets your typical farm sim game. My only negative critique is that right now, until you have enough nimbits, there isn't a lot to do. It takes a week or two of in-game time to get into the typical grind cycle. However, I don't entirely mind this. So many games over-simplify things, and it's always bothered me slightly. I like a challenge. There's also not a ton of story, but that's to be expected for EA. I can't wait to see more of the game moving forward!
I bought the game after playing 30mins of the demo. Part creature collector, part base management, part rougelike and all charm. Seems to be plently of content in early access and runs really well on Steamdeck

I stumbled upon this game a short while ago, and was incredibly excited for it to come out. I downloaded the demo and was instantly hooked, clocking 4.5 hours that I transferred over to the game upon release. Unfortunately (though expected), progress made in the demo in regards to achievements does not carry over to the early access release, so be aware of that fact if you're planning to do what I did. (Ex: Completed 2 sets in the museum not registered in the early access release) This game is incredibly charming, filled with beautiful art and creatures bursting with personality. The characters are all interesting, and the romanceable characters all have great designs. No two feel the same. When talking to the same NPCs day after day, however, I have noticed repeated dialogue fairly often. The addition of more dialogue is something that will likely get phased out as the game gets more and more updates, though, so I'm not too worried/peeved about it. The music played throughout is well-produced and never gets boring, but the game could use a few more tracks to spice things up and keep things fresh. Again, this is something I'm not worried about seeing this game just came out today. The gameplay mixes elements of Stardew Valley with creature-catching games, but focuses on releasing the creatures you capture back into the environment, rather than keeping them. Although it contains elements that cozy gamers will be familiar with, it combines them into a fresh idea that feels spectacular to play. It is an extremely cozy game, and if that is what you're looking for, then you should definitely give it a whirl, especially at its affordable price point. The only part of this game that made me slightly stressed/confused was not knowing where to get certain materials, but this is something that will also be fixed with time with the creation of a wiki. The game is great now, and it will be even greater as time passes. I am super excited to see where the developers take this game, and I am ecstatic to be along for the ride. If you're a fan of cozy games, I say hop on the hype train. It's going to be a fun ride.
A pretty unique game overall. I went in expecting a creature collector with a basic life sim, but it's more of a creature collector roguelike with the goal of repopulating species. The whole focus on the capturing of corrupted creatures, using their DNA to recreate their species, then helping them grow up by building them suitable habitats, and then releasing them is excellent. What surprised me was that the game gave me a choice for in-game goals (explorer, tamer, or adventurer) and since im not that deep, i would hope that there is some more interaction with that. Or at least a dynamic way to change them later, because advancing them as well later would be fun. And it would allow for more of these Options to be implemented, since setting goals like that is fun ( and may unlock unique interactions?! maybe) There is still room for improvement, though, and I would wish for them to polish some animations. Especially the character movements look from rough to creepy in some cases (for example, the player character moves really stiff).
Will update review as I continue further. So far, this game is hard not to like. Especially at the cheap price, less than $15 is a great bargain. It is reminiscent of Undermine in how you collect loot and a roguelike in the floors you encounter. But the overall feel of the town is very cozy and fleshed-out with a lot of stores and NPCs like a cozy game. I'd say its a really unique blend of all of the above genres (along with creature collector). For a two-person team this is an amazing product and you can see how much effort the devs put into it.
