Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 14 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a game I can recommend for the age range it was designed for. This is truly an RPG lovingly crafted to tell a story for young children and built around the idea of a much younger crowd. Don't expect to be challenged by the gameplay, the themes of the game, or by any of the puzzles that it throws your way, if you're over the age of ten. Where the game excels is introducing difficult subject matters, divorce, survivor's guilt, spousal abuse, eating disorders, depression, etc, and making them child-friendly and creating heart-warming resolutions to them. The storylines are easily digestible and offer moral lessons that would be great to sit down and enjoy with a young child, and even playing alone as an adult, can tug a heart string. Sadly, if you strip back the child-like wonder of the Ghibli visuals, the pacing of the game is incredibly bad and the gameplay itself is dull and devoid of much meaningful interaction. While I know the White Witch portions of the story were added in later and not part of the original game, it's painfully obvious how tacked on it is. The pacing also suffers from how abysmal the experience gain in the game is. You don't need to grind much along the way, but actually having a very powerful team is a slog to achieve. As an adult, this game feels tedious. But if I was playing it with a young child, I can see how much wonder and excitement it would give. How it could work to teach valuable life lessons and how handle problems, and how they'd giggle at some of the silly monster designs. Its a definite buy for a youngster interested in the world of Roleplaying Games, but isn't ready to get thrown into deeper philosophical questions or overly complex mechanics. Its safe. Its cozy. Its not too challenging, and you won't have to answer any weird questions about it. Meanwhile, for teenagers and up, it's going to feel a bit too babyish to hold much interest.

Beautiful animation and story. Enjoyable characters. This is a game I have wanted for years and now finally have a chance to play. What a wonderful experience
Love the game, Like the story, love its game music
I wish I could give this a middling score. It's a great game, with a very solid gameplay loop. Good for kids, but the puns can be a bit much. If you like dad jokes and bad puns, or just want a game for your kid to enjoy, this is it. It encourages actually reading books, thinking outside the box, and isn't easy to the point of insult. However, if I had one incredibly frustrating gripe, it's that the NPC allies are annoying and dumb as bricks. They fail at basic tasks (I ask them to defend, and they start casting a spell instead, getting slammed by the enemy's big attack, and dying), steal things that could save you (in-battle healing items are vacuumed up by them, whether they need them or not. This is especially egregious with the Supercharge drops that give you full health and a super attack. I love it when I'm fighting a fire enemy, swap to an ice one to deal big damage, just for an NPC to run over with a random character, snag up the super-move, then deal absolutely no damage because of elemental resistances), and are oftentimes dead not even two minutes into a fight. There is a pretty sharp difficulty spike around the middle of the game, but it can be powered through. Only issue is, after a point, everything drops down to incredibly easy levels, with the second phase of the final boss being especially noteworthy, as it has no AoE attacks - a staple in boss fights up to that point. Overall, a good game that I'd totally recommend, but very frustrating at times. If you bull through the frustration, you'll find a very wonderful story about growing up and becoming more mature, while also keeping that Studio Ghibli charm alive.
All-round a pretty decent JRPG that has quite high highs and quite low lows. I usually like JRPGS with action-style combat but this one, while having a pretty solid system, just personally doesn't do it for me at times. Big fan of the creature designs and especially a fan of the split evolutions but a lot of them feel kinda samey and seem to vary wildly in power level - not too much but I did sometimes find myself not really switching between creatures in battle due to having one that was quite more versatile than the others. I like the boss fights and their designs, some of them have some very neat gimmicks and these are really where you get to show your skill with the battle system. Some were tricky towards the first half of the game but they became more satisfying upon picking up on the ins and outs of the combat a tad bit more. I do think it's a pain that a few boss weaknesses aren't clearly communicated until you're explicitly told what they are by the sidekick character but it isn't too much of a big deal. The only time it really came into play for the gameplay experience was a tanky enemy intended to be defeated with wind type damage, which I didn't have access to at that point. The game starts on a strong note, I feel, but it does get a bit slow after the first few hours and stays at that pace for a few more. The midgame felt quite frustrating every now and then, but I feel that it gets into a groove for the rest of the game. My least favourite gameplay element is probably how slow you move about. You go at a snail's pace even after getting an upgrade to your movement speed after completing a few sidequests. This is remedied later in the game in the overworld at least with two upgrades but towns and dungeons can still drag a bit. There's one town that you access around the midgame that is quite large that requires a few revisits during the main story and each visit was the definition of a drag. I do like the overworld design though, feels akin to a lot of classic JRPGs and I quite like it. Lots of optional content as well with a decent chunk of areas that you don't need to go to other than for sidequests but still have interesting things about them. Story and characters are fun but both drop off towards the last few hours of the game due to content that was not present in the original DS release being tacked on to this version, but it was still good and had a few satisfying payoffs for story elements built up throughout the game. It just felt like there wasn't anywhere left for the protagonist to go following the climax to his arc so the last bit of the narrative felt like it was going through the motions. Art and presentation is definitely this game's strongest suit. Love the graphics and the Ghibli artstyle, I feel like it enhances the game a lot. The sprinkling of 2D cutscenes throughout the game animated by the studio itself emanate charm and do an amazing job in bringing the world to life more so than the game already does.A lot of designs are very memorable and I think the artstyle fits perfectly alongside the tone of the game and its story. Definitely a game I'm mixed on but that's mostly from personal preference. Definitely one to check out for fans of JRPGS and/or creature collectors.
VERY fun game! A lot of people complain about the Combat system but I personally found it fun and less stressful than most real time battle games since I don't have to focus on actually attacking. Loved the story this will be living rent free in my mind for a WHILE
