Worth to buy, source "trust me bro" :)))

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.13/day in the week to Aug 3 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the best run and gun game, the mix of gallery shooter and metal slug (more of contra influence) is damn amazing. I do hate how “small” the play area is and that there is no indication which enemy can hurts you on contact or not.
This brought me right back to my childhood. Such a fun game, and that pixel art is absolutely gorgeous. It captures everything I love about classic gaming. I just wish it would be a little longer.
The demo was right. When I tried Neon Inferno's demo I had a lot of fun, and then I tried the team's first game, Steel Assault. That was... rough, but I was confident NI was going to be great. And it is! It's not perfect, but it's a really strong arcade game with a bygone sense of design. Were it snappier in its controls, it could have been basically flawless. We're put in the quite stylish shoes of hitmen Angelo Morano (Jin Kazama with a big ass cross necklace) and Mariana Vitti (absolute baddie), who work for the Venatori mob family. As such, they take on a variety of difficult missions to eliminate key targets in a dystopian, cyberpunkish NYC. The story is of course little more than a premise, in pure arcade fashion, but the presentation enhances the few ingredients stupendously. Character designs are incredible, with exquisite pixel art and some slick animations, and every mission has one or more art pieces to accompany it. The atmosphere is standard John Carpenter-slash-anime fare, but while not original it is crafted with gusto. The levels themselves are similarly immaculate artistically, with a true richness of small details and surprises that give depth to this arcadey world. Mech design can also be very impressive and again, not entirely original but really channels that Nazca and Irem spirit of a bygone age where visual creativity was almost as important as the gameplay. Accordingly, music and audio are very solid, and while the soundtrack doesn't often cracks into "absolute banger" territory, it's a doozy when it does. There is also a masterful employment of classical and opera music in one mission, which is enhanced because of it. Gameplay is pure high-octane action. Neon Inferno is a run and gun at its core, but it smartly revives the formula of the gallery shooters of old, like Wild Guns and Point Blank. Even though gallery shooters went out of fashion super quickly, and today are a curio at best for most players, their formula works fantastically when infused in NI as a secondary mechanic. As such, you'll be managing both the background and the foreground, and enemies can come from everywhere, making the action quite hectic. Bosses can be relegated to one plane or move between both and they feel often unique due to this combination of mechanics. Aside from shooting, you'll have a melee strike that can reflect green bullets (a limited Adrenaline gauge allows for some bullet time where you can redirect bullets precisely, even into the background), a double jump and a dodge roll. You also have one-use power ups you can buy in between levels, but since they're so limited I opted not to use them for the vast majority of the game. The ultimate concoction is fun, hectic and incredibly demanding on Hard difficulty. It's genuinely a joy to master, which is basically the highest praise a game such as this can get. I do have some criticisms, though. Zenovia inherited some roughness in the controls from Steel Assault: while the game feels pretty good most of the time, the traversal abilities once again feel sluggish and imprecise occasionally, which is infuriating when it happens. Sometimes the double jump feels unresponsive and you fall down a pit; the dodge roll, while doing its job, is so wimpy and pathetic. Also, what's up with how to use the power ups? Down + R3? That's a random ass cumbersome combination to i out while I got unused buttons on my controller, but whatever. Another pedantic note is that while the game looks fantastic on all fronts, it adheres to the clichés of dystopian cyberpunk a tad too much. It rehashes ideas you've seen before if you played arcade games, and does it well, but it misses a spark to call its very own. I KNOW this is pedantic, but the game is really good and could have benefitted from a little extra uniqueness. Overall, Neon Inferno is quite the specimen in arcade design and old school action, and is definitely recommended. I can't wait for Zenovia's next game, as it could be truly perfect, and maybe a little more visually inventive and unique.
The jiggle physics on the playable female character is what sold me on this game. GG devs.
It's a decent run and gun game. I love the simple concept and the old school retro arcade feel to it. Reminds me of Wild guns but more forgiving with checkpoints and saves (depending on difficulty setting). I beat it in one sitting. I will play it again someday. Bottom line I'd say wait for a sale.
