About
Neo Cab is a visual novel about emotional survival in an automated world.
You play as Lina, the last human cab driver. It’s your very first night driving the lonely streets of Los Ojos, and your best friend has just disappeared.
Is she in grave danger... or just the flakiest friend ever? Either way, now you need to find cash, a place to crash, and some answers.
Your only leads are the diverse cast of characters you pick up in your cab, but getting them to open up isn’t always easy. The anarchist punks don’t trust you, the corporate yuppies don’t see you, and the cops won’t leave you alone. But if you can balance honesty, empathy, and your own emotional health, you might just learn their secrets.
Can you survive late-stage capitalism long enough to save your friend?
STAY ON THE ROAD. STAY ON THE SEARCH. STAY HUMAN.
Every pax is a puzzle. Whether you like them or not, everyone has their own story to tell.

Lina’s best course for survival is to keep driving. Piece together what has happened to Savy as you help Lina navigate the city grid.

Each passenger interaction will affect Lina’s mood; as her emotions become more intense, some choices will be taken away, while other choices will be unlocked.

Neo Cab features a branching narrative with pax stories written by Leigh Alexander, Kim Belair, Bruno Dias, Duncan Fyfe, Paula Rogers & Robin Sloan.
Featuring an original soundtrack by Obfusc (Monument Valley, House of Cards).
Sums Steam only; GOG, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
Neo Cab is a visual novel with cyberpunk neon dystopian future elements. You play as Lina, one of the last human cab drivers left in the world, who moves to the city of Los Ojos to rekindle a childhood friendship and become roommates. The gameplay is text heavy with semi branching storylines. You manage passengers (called pax), your car's electric charge, your money, driver star ratings, and where you sleep at night, like Japanese style sleep pods or bougie motels. The game also uses a biofeedback device called the Feel Grid to monitor your mood. If Lina gets too upset or scared, she gets locked off from certain dialogue options. It is an interesting mechanic, but it gets annoying when you are emotionally blocked from picking the answer you actually want to choose as the player. The pax you pick up vary wildly from each other. You meet characters like Liam Baird, a ruthless tech exec traveling the world as a photographer, and Agnan, a member of a movement based around pain. Characters like these really stand out and make each interaction something you either look forward to or dread. Visuals use vibrant purples, deep blues, and heavy neon lights. The animations are fluid and make the game feel like a beautiful piece of art with a story you decide. The soundtrack absolutely bumps and adds tension to conversations. The music selection keeps songs from repeating endlessly, even though the total tracklist is a bit limited. The writing team includes people who worked on Firewatch, Guild Wars 2, and Where the Water Tastes Like Wine. There are a few minor hiccups, grammar mistakes, and spacing errors where characters say things slightly out of character, but overall it forms a concise and well knit storyline. The characters and world feel really fleshed out. On a scale of 1 to 5, it gets a solid 4. If you like story driven games, value good writing, or were on the fence about picking this up, you should check it out. https://youtu.be/J2O2Ljjj4Pc?si=RLUS-QHMIMxO67-S

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

it's a very short game (only buy on sale) but it's okay. i had to play through a few times to get all of the achievements which was very SLOW and i wish you could force the game more in a different direction but they still kind of push you along the same linear path even if you try choosing different options (i would ditch savy right from the getgo). the background story is an interesting concept - last human driver in an automated world.
Incredible aethetic, but falls a bit flat in terms of story and gameplay. It's worth playing if it tickles your fancy at all but I wouldn't buy it full price.
