Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

i dont know why the reviews are so bad just cause 1 is almost a 20 year old game not made with huge budget i played it in 2014 the first time and absolutely got in love with the game played it again i did not face any bugs and glitches reportingly faced by other reviewers but maybe glitches can occur though if u want to play a good old sandbox game a must reccomend
Enjoyed this so much back in the day but sadly it did not age well.
Just Cause
A game so big it forgot to fill half of its map.
PC Specs
• Asus Vivobook 15 • Intel Core i3-1115G4 • 8GB DDR4-3200 • 512GB NVMe SSD Performance: 1080p, locked at 60 FPS on the highest settings. (I probably had Anti-Aliasing disabled since I usually leave it off.)

What I Remember
+ Massive map. For a game released in 2006, the map size is genuinely impressive. + Decent gunplay. The lock-on mechanic works surprisingly well and makes controller gameplay feel smooth. + Vehicle delivery. Being able to request armored vehicles almost anywhere is a really nice feature. + Health pickups. Enemies drop health, so you can keep pushing through firefights without constantly restarting.

The Downsides
- The map is TOO big. The world feels mostly empty, and the main story doesn't even use all of the available islands. Capturing settlements, military bases, and mansions becomes repetitive very quickly, and the rewards aren't worth the time invested. - Weapon system. You can't permanently own or purchase weapons. Ammo can only be refilled at safehouses, but safehouses themselves don't offer much reason to visit besides being your respawn point. - No health regeneration. Unlike GTA, where shootouts are less frequent, Just Cause is almost nonstop combat. Regenerating health would've made the gameplay flow much better. - The running animation. I'm sorry... but Rico runs like he urgently needs a bathroom.

Verdict
I played this game years ago, so I probably forgot plenty of details, but one thing I still remember is this: The game is the most enjoyable when you focus on the main story. Trying to clear every location on the map mostly turns into repetitive busywork. Recommended? Yes. Worth full price? No. Wait for a sale.
pretty fun very short needs widescreen fix
Meh We've come a long way in video game development, and it shows. Although it's fun in the beginning, it quickly becomes very very repetitive. Thankfully the main story doesn't depend on liberating regions, so I quickly skipped this part. The main missions often have bugs, be it vehicles that aren't moving, or an enemy running up a vertical slope, leaving you unable to kill him even though he's the main objective of the mission. It's also extremly frustrating when for instance the enemies have the highest shooting precision ever seen in history, leaving you 5 seconds before realising you spawn at the previous checkpoint, and the vehicles constantly ramming into you are a pain in the arse (although it does make sense, it's still very annoying). Overall it seems quite unbalanced when spawning ennemies and can make for a frustrating encounter when you don't have anything to kill vehicles and you're surrounded by helis and other tanks. The story's fine though For the price, I certainly wouldn't recommend
I played like every Just Cause game except this one, and this is the single one I didn't enjoy. Maybe this game was good for it's time but I wouldn't know that since I wasn't even born when this came out. Anyways spawning in vehicles seems to be glitched a majority of the time since they can barely move and once you exit them they just fly off, and overall the driving is awful, in one mission I was chasing a car, hit the back and flew off in the other direction. Speaking of missions I didn't finish this game but they are all awful so far, they are either super quick and forgettable or absolutely tedious. This just feels like a horribly aged game.
Неплохое начало серии. Первая проба пера. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2811764121
I purchased this game during the steam summer sale for $0.97. It is 20 years old at this point, so graphically it doesn't hold up as well as newer games, and the gameplay is a little clunky at times, but overall Just Cause 1 is a lot of fun to mess around in, especially if you are looking for a way to kill some time. I would say it did a lot of really cool things especially for the time it came out such as the sheer size of the world and the fact that you can use nearly every vehicle in the entire game. Would definitely recommend getting it if it's on sale as it will usually go for under a dollar. 10/10 looking forward to playing the second and third games in this series once I pour some more time into goofing off in this game.
