Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.43/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
«A place beyond your dreams.» [strike]DUNE[/strike] MYST

Not having any nostalgia for this, having just played it for the first time, yeah, it's pretty good. It's about equally as much about the sandbox element of just wandering around these unique environments and fiddling with the stuff there as it is really about the puzzles. The puzzles did all have a unique feeling to them with none really feeling like a retread, and surprisingly none of them were that esoteric or "how was I supposed to know this" feeling. There was one area I got annoyed by the point and click controls limiting my ability to survey the environment, but beyond that I'm glad I played this version over a free-roam version. There's an intentionality to the viewpoints here that I think would be a big element to lose playing the game with typical FPS movement. Myst is a game with great atmosphere and the combination of the viewpoints, the music and the ambient sound effects all really contribute to build that up. Some of the animations for certain mechanisms got annoying before I figured out that you can skip basically all of them, which was a big help for certain parts.
WHAT
THE ♥♥♥♥ DOES THIS LEVER DO I'VE BEEN STUCK HERE FOR 339 HOURS
This is hard to recommend. I don’t have any nostalgia for the series and this is my first time playing it. Boy it is so good! The problem is it is so old and jank. I was stuck on a level for about an hour because I did not realize you need to close the elevator door before it responds to the floor buttons. You ride 5 other elevators in this game and for some reason this elevator is just different. Game is good but use a guide when you get stuck.
Enter this game as something to experience, and not as something to "finish," and you'll be playing one of the most atmospheric, immersive games of all time.
It's a classic, what can I say? Painfully clunky by modern standards, yet probably the best graphics of any game to survive from that time period. Some of the puzzles are hair-tearing, but it's worth it to deal with them; the game takes only a few hours if you know it, but is worth spending days in if you don't.
Puzzles are way too obtuse IMO but the vibes, ambiance, and atmosphere are so otherworldly; I was surprised something not too dissilimiar from a picture slideshow could actually have me sooo immersed in its world. Everyone should play Myst🩵
Product of its time, just play realMyst if you want to try and enjoy the series. This version of the game is playable but it's not the best version of the game for anyone used to modern gaming. The movement is a very choppy power point type system, causing you to get turned around or lost easily. There are no subtitles so it's impossible to understand what the cutscenes are saying. The main goal is to collect pages, but you cannot hold more than 1 at a time- so you have to pick one up, go back to the area to deposit them, then return to pick up any others; it's just a chore. It has it's 90s charm, but it's not a good experience.
It's... I mean, it's OK, I guess. Its legendary reputation mainly tells you that they didn't have much else going on back in 1993. The puzzles aren't amazing, but only a few are particularly obtuse or annoying. The plot is fairly simple (and the ending weak), but at least it gives you something to mull over while you're clicking your way around. It makes decent use of environmental storytelling, too. I can't recommend it as something that you'll actually have fun with, but hey—it's cheap, it's short. If you're curious about it from a historical viewpoint, there's not much to lose.
