Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 23 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To the best of my knowledge, the only game that can end with Brad Dourif
smashing you over the head with a hammer
; so more than worth the price of admission. Not quite Riven, but quite a bit of fun.
Played this game back in 2008/9 in Primary School to learn about creative writing. Loved it immediately and always had fond memories. One of the many things that inspired my love for writing. Just played it again for the first time in 15 odd years and its better than I remember.
The controls are a bit dated by today's standards, but the story is very good with multiple endings based on choices made and worth a play through. The final puzzles are challenging enough to feel a sense of accomplishment when they are completed. All the worlds are nicely done, but Edanna - the nature world will always be my favorite. The rides are also fun and a great reward for solving the puzzles for each age. For those new to this game do keep notes on the puzzles and any journals that are given or found by the player. Also remember things found when exploring as they will help solve puzzles later. Often something seen earlier even on a different world will be needed to solve a puzzle later on another world. This game doesn't hand hold for solving puzzles. If you are still stuck there are a few decent guides and walkthroughs out there that can help. Also for those used to 360 free movement this game allows you to look around a bit but movement is always point and click style. Hopefully one day this one will get remade with new movement like Myst and Riven was, but if it is hopefully Cyan keeps the old live acting videos in the original and only remasters them, not replaces them with ai generated content. They are already good and add a lot of depth to the story that would be lost if they were replaced. For those who already know the game this version runs smooth and is pretty bug free. Still though it can be played with a controller - I tried it out with a xbox x/s elite controller, a mouse is still better and recommended if played on a pc.

This is a fun continuation of the the story Myst and Riven started.
Another great story of Atrus and his disfunctional family; well worth the puzzles.
While not as impressive as Riven in terms of worldbuilding and story, Exile is another enjoyable entry in the MYST series. I always loved the introduction of 3D pre-rendered graphics in Exile. They put it to great use in this entry's lesson ages. Amateria still stands out to me as one of the most scenic environments we are able to explore in the MYST games, and features one of the coolest puzzle finales as the cherry on top. One of the Ages, Edanna, has the player navigate an almost entirely natural environment that features multiple levels. While pretty, it is rather difficult to navigate, even on repeat playthroughs. This game has its ups and downs. There are great environmental visuals, good soundtracks and ambience, and more lore for the world of the MYST games. It doesn't hit as high as its predecessor, unfortunately, as the puzzles are more forced on the player (given the educational nature of the ages visited), and Exile returns to the MYST formula of briefly visiting multiple ages to accomplish an overarching task. While it has its pros and cons, Exile is worth the try, and does a good job rounding out the initial trilogy of MYST games, while introducing new visual improvements to the formula.
This is a sequel to Myst. Chronologically it takes place after Riven, but is very similar to the original Myst. Riven had a large world divided into themed islands with interconnected puzzles. This is more like Myst, with completely independent worlds. Finish one and you never come back to it, except the hub world (which just requires finishing the other 3, and then you never come back to it). Also the store page states "6 ages" but one of them is literally just 2 rooms. The game still holds up graphically, and the presentation is mostly fine. Full 360 rotation is a lot nicer than the original Myst/Riven's need to scroll by clicking. I still had some trouble getting turned around, especially in the jungle age (Edanna). Other than that, no complaints. Also the roller coaster sequence is still as good as I remember from 20 years ago. Great way to end the age. It's nowhere near as good as Riven. It's not "bad" but it's merely "fine". I haven't done a full playthrough of Myst in 25 years so I can't compare it to the original. This is certainly worth checking out if you're a fan of the series. Compatibility wise, I had no problems. The resolution is small for modern PCs resulting in a black border around everything; not great but not really a problem. I'm running on Linux and had no trouble. I'm assuming it works fine on modern Windows too.
