I got this game on sale for 75% off (.49 cents USD) and it's honestly worth about that. Even with the major update made days before my purchase, there is just not much to do in this game. Which is a shame as it's beautiful in it's own surreal sort of way and what is here shows promise. You do get to break some boards, fetch some keys and read some notes, but the dev wasn't kidding about it being a walking sim. There is one puzzle, but the jump scares are audio and the promised horror of the beast never comes for you. It honestly feels like the final level of a much bigger game. Overall it's pretty enough and there are two endings, but like other games by this dev, it just falls a little short in the end. There is a storyline, but it honestly confused me. We are dead and in limbo, I guess? We either did something bad to our family or a secret society to keep a beast underground did? Or we did and the society made us a beast meal? Thumbs up for heading in the right direction, but it honestly should be a sales purchase at this point.
My Bones Remastered is a short first-person horror experience developed and published by GDNomaD, serving as a rebuilt and technically improved version of the developer’s earlier project. Designed as a compact atmospheric vignette rather than a full-length horror campaign, the game places players in a bleak and unsettling scenario: you awaken inside a grave with no clear explanation, surrounded by darkness and the eerie stillness of a cemetery. From this premise, the experience unfolds as a quiet exploration of isolation, mortality, and mystery. The structure of the game is intentionally minimal. Players navigate small, enclosed environments—primarily a graveyard and its surrounding structures—while searching for keys, interacting with limited objects, and uncovering fragments of narrative context. There are light puzzle elements, though they remain straightforward and serve more as pacing devices than genuine challenges. There is no combat system or complex inventory management. Instead, progression depends on observation, slow movement, and environmental interaction. The game leans heavily into a walking simulator style, prioritizing mood and atmosphere over mechanical depth. Visually, the remastered version benefits from improved rendering and lighting compared to its original iteration. Built on the Unity engine, it features smoother shadows, cleaner textures, and a more cohesive presentation. The graveyard setting is rendered with a subdued palette that reinforces the somber tone. Dim lighting, fog, and quiet environmental design create a sense of desolation. While the improved visuals enhance immersion compared to the earlier release, the environments themselves remain sparse. Some players may interpret this minimalism as intentional atmosphere, while others may find it lacking in detail or variety. Sound design plays a supporting role in establishing tension. Ambient noises, subtle environmental sounds, and restrained musical cues attempt to evoke unease without relying on frequent jump scares. The horror approach is quiet and contemplative rather than aggressive. However, the limited range of audio events means that tension can plateau quickly. The experience depends largely on psychological discomfort rather than dynamic threats, and there are few moments of active danger to sustain prolonged fear. Narratively, My Bones Remastered offers a concise story with limited branching. Players may encounter slight variations leading to one of two endings, but the overall plot remains linear and brief. Themes of life, death, and existential reflection are hinted at rather than deeply explored. The story unfolds through sparse text or environmental cues rather than extended dialogue or cinematic sequences. While this ambiguity can leave room for interpretation, it may also leave players desiring a more developed narrative arc. One of the defining aspects of the game is its extremely short runtime. A complete playthrough often lasts less than half an hour, making it more of a short atmospheric episode than a traditional horror title. For some players, this brevity works in its favor, delivering a focused and contained experience without filler. For others, the limited length and straightforward design can make it feel underdeveloped. Replay value is minimal beyond experiencing alternate endings, as the core exploration remains largely unchanged. Ultimately, My Bones Remastered is a niche indie horror project that emphasizes mood over mechanics and brevity over complexity. Its strengths lie in its atmospheric premise, improved technical stability compared to the original, and its willingness to present a quiet, introspective form of horror. Its weaknesses stem from limited interactivity, sparse environmental detail, and a short runtime that may leave players wanting more substance. For those who appreciate minimalist horror experiences and short narrative-driven explorations, it can serve as a brief but somber journey. For players seeking sustained tension, layered gameplay systems, or expansive storytelling, it may feel more like a concept piece than a fully realized horror adventure. Rating: 4/10

Чё-та прошелся, решил головоломку и всё. Графика неплохая, но 42 рублей не стоит
it cured my gaming addiction 0/4 bones
Por alguna razón el juego venía sin el parche instalado, no podía romper los tablones y el puzzle estaba bugeado.
A very pretty game for a cheap horror game. Very, very little gameplay - you'll beat it in 15 minutes. It's like it was written by an angsty teenager --- only play this if you want to cringe.
Это ♥♥♥♥♥♥, мне не особо понравилось, идея крутая, но это ♥♥♥♥♥♥, я не увидел смыславой нагрузки.
I got this on sale for 49 cents and still regretted purchasing it. I lost 16 minutes of my life to search for keys as if I don't have that experience for free every morning before work.
