For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

Nice to get back to this for a while! In 2015 it was a surprise, from a genre I generally don't like, probably because I expected it to be one of those "Wannabe The Guy", as I called them, games whose difficulty is not based on careful design and balance but only on surprise factor. Quite the opposite: you will certainly die here, dozens of times, maybe even hundreds, but the game is always fair, everything is laid out before you, you'll get no fast ones pulled, it simply asks you to be skilled enough to pass those obstacles, and especially in the earlier levels it is also fairly generous with checkpoints. Complementing the fine gameplay are very distinctive graphics, all in grayscale and red with fluid animations, much better than the excessively minimalistic visuals of the XBLIG original. The plot is just an excuse, but is made quite funny by the hilarious Engrish of the dialogues. And Moth being best, erm, moth. One of those games that makes you curse, but you can't resist getting back in and try one more time.
"Mute Crimson+" is a stylish pixelated 2D precision platformer, where you slash, double jump and wall climb your way through different levels and worlds ninja-style. The game is pretty straightforward and simple in its execution - while there are some gameplay-mechanics which are added as you progress, your moveset never changes, every chapter ends with a boss and there is one optional collectible in every level. Art and animation is great, the soundtrack has a banger retro vibe and the level design is really solid. Plus the story and dialogue (with nicely drawn cutscene-stills) is so purposely bad and riddled with grammar errors, it is nothing short of hilarious and amazing! (Gotta love Moth, tho!). The game is challenging but more forgiving than other entries in the genre (unless you are playing arcade-mode with limited lives), and the difficulty curve is just right. Your jump is very high-grav and the wall grab is something to get used to, but apart from that the movement is very fluid. Overall a great and fun entry that is worth your time!

I've never played Ninja Gaiden and I guarantee you will still love this game if you haven't either. This is a beautifully crafted ninja hardcore platformer. It strikes a brilliant balance between challenging yet fair levels and intentionally terrible dialogue riddled with hilarious grammatical blunders. Infinite lives, one hit point, and creatively placed collectibles coupled with a short-range but nonetheless epic melee sword attack makes for a gameplay experience you won't want to end. The black and red visuals permeate the entire game, yet the worlds are still thematically varied. The powerful chiptune soundtrack is icing on the cake. This game has all the makings of high quality ninja platformer. It also has one of the best final bosses I've ever fought. Buy this game and tell your friends about it. 116 reviews in five years is unacceptable. Don't just tell your friends about it. Gift it to them. This game is one of the best 2D platformers I've ever played. 10/10
I'm a big fan of platformers, and Mute Crimson+ does more than enough to satisfy that itch of a tough but rewarding play-though - especially at it's $5 price tag. Gameplay is simple: move, jump, attack - and don't die. Each World has levels that you will be testing yourself how far you can get until you can advance to that next check point. When you finally get to that next area, that rewarding feeling suddenly stops short, as you'll be dying over and over again until you reach & defeat the boss - and I found myself not wanting to stop. It's a game that's hard to put down (or close out of) and it will be difficult but also an entertaining journey for any fans with experience of these challenging platforming games. It's very comparable to Super Meat Boy (another brutal yet enjoyable platformer) but the controls are not as clean in my opinion. I didn't feel as if the game's controls caused the majority of my deaths, but there were a handful of times where I thought they did me in. The jumping mechanic is a bit too floaty during the in-the-air movement, the buttons sometimes did not register, and jumping onto and off edges seemed like a rough transition at times; but overall I was able to beat the game & had fun doing so. I thought the music was pretty good, but as with all tough platformers it can be bothersome when you're stuck at a certain stage for an hour or so. I really love the black & white colors with the red outline for the game's art style. It made objectives and hazards seem clear, and the graphics give off a retro yet new-ish feel to it. It is a short game but you really can't argue paying $5 for 6-8 hours of entertainment (or frustration). Time played will certainly vary with your platforming skill level - but if you are up for a quick challenge I can absolutely recommend this game to you. Jerk Score: 8.0/10
Still one of the best Action Platformers i've ever played.
Good
This game may not offer much that is new, but it does present for a good challenge if you're an expert platformer. The level design is tough, but it's also fair and takes the game mechaics completely into account. You see everything you need to and knowing what you have to do is never vague. The challenge comes from pulling it all off with skill, as it should be. The bonus coins themselves are also well-placed overall without too much obscurity. Would I recommend this game? Definitely. Just be aware that this is not a game for beginners. :3
Nice
It was a short game but fun
Mute Crimson is a steam videogame featuring baffling disciplined ninja supreme quality trailwise difficult chambers of insanity with the level design and both traps that make you shake a routine of triangular raging thunderstorm anger! Its going to be a childbearing cakewalk i thought at first! But no this game is no joke some parts are inducing acid spitting into your eye sockets as u just keep playing this very challenging game! The soundtrack is very a round matzoballin great chiptune set that drives you to keep going because the composer is really getting you pumped up into shimmied situations that make you want to keep playing of course dearly!!! The sound effects are pretty good as well! The controls can be suffering at first but it can get better as u proceed in atoning charm!!! The bosses are considered to be a punitive act of destroying your gamer hair on leadline fire!!! They can be tough but the final boss is a painful endorphin experience but a rewarding one once u master its 5 hidden route patterns! And i thought for all the bosses very unique and adrenaline creative! Its a game that requires curtains of flesh patience and silvery stretch gaming triggers that u cant give up but at least u can take a break after u finish a section! So its kinda cool when u have autosave when u complete an area that makes the invalid choices selective! This ones hard to rate this repenting game because let alone i really enjoyed this and the ideas the fluffed developers created! So im going to be fair in matchsticks of making all gamers satisfied of what im going to give it! I think i deserves a 9.8/10 almost a 10/10 but i think alot of videogamers wont agree because its very doubtly pointed as frustrating gameplay that u need to have greatly impressive reflexes to overpass this masterpiece!!! Its worth on sale or even full price its definately pretty lengthy for a theory sidescroller and i think the whole team that created this game is one of the best games that i have ever encountered on steam on that drippy blood soaking note love the burrito master
