An intriguing concept that could work well for a puzzle game. However, the level design is where this game fails the most. In the beginning, they start strong and teach you the basic mechanics, but a majority of them were way too easy and seemingly have no real structure other than semi-randomly scattered dots and most of them are just for distraction. The requirements in a level for getting three stars got very loose towards the end, often you could get to finish in less than half of the required steps. The playtime is also not that great, as I beat all levels with 3 stars in less than 2 hours.

Mixed feelings about this game. I really enjoy the reflection mechanic, and it is calming and pleasant to play. A problem emerges however as the levels advance and the board gets bigger. Each one of the 50 levels is static (not randomly generated), but the designs and difficulty ratings diverge farther and farther from the possibilities of the board. Difficulty ratings for the minimum steps to beat for a full 3-star rating on a puzzle increasingly seem to have nothing to do with the board -- almost as if the puzzle designer worked backwards from a suggested solution, but didn't understand or play-test their own puzzle. Most puzzles can be solved in 8-10 moves, no matter what -- despite move goals in the teens and 20s. In fact, many can be solved in far less, often in ways that feel like a design mistake. For example, puzzle 45 requires a solution in under 21 moves -- it can be solved in 4. Puzzle 48 requires a solution in under 29 moves -- it can also be solved in 4. For this reason, it is more relaxing to ignore the star goals and just pretend that these puzzle were randomly generated -- especially given that there is (oddly) no 100% achievement for all-3-star ratings -- and given the arbitrary difficulty, it isn't that meaningful when you do achieve it. Still, the game framework is fun in a meditative way reminiscent of sudoku or minesweeper. If you aren't chasing difficulty, give it a try.
