Exactly as advertised. A HIGH-OCTANE-ACTION dopamine rush. Gameplay is addictive and extremely satisfying once you can clear floors like second nature. The story was also surprisingly thoughtful; and the transition from the end credits into the end game content was pure perfection.
"I'M Here to Kick Scrap, and Lick Lollipops" Really cool game overall. The art is phenomenal and really sells the 90s vibe that it goes for. The ost and sound are good and also aid in the vibe. The VA was really good as well. I really loved the goofy one liners between floors. It really added a lot of personality to the MC on top of just being silly. The gameplay is fast paced and fun but can be overwhelming at first. The bosses were all really cool and featured some fun gimmicks. Great weapons and perk selections that are all viable and can get you through the game with a variety of builds. The level design is filled with neat details when you stop to look around you in between kicking robot ass. I really like the story and the subtext as I think there is a lot to say regarding overconsumption and the ever-degrading attention span of the average person in today's world. Can't forget the billionaire overlords that control the world through keeping the population in a perpetual stew of distractions/entertainment and mass media manipulation. Only glitch I ran into was getting stuck in the ceiling in one instance during a jump. It did only happen once so it wasn't a big deal but I figured I'd mention it.
10/10 if I've ever seen one

The soundtrack alone for this game makes me want to grow a mullet and shoot robots. My only wish, other than being less linear, is that there would ever be a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover. I hope they make a sequel
This is a beautiful throwback to the 80s and 90s, i love the characters, the style, the bright colors. for being a game where you have 10 seconds to live, i didn't think it would even have a plot. But the plot is awesome. i kinda hate that i like this game as much as i do. 10 seconds to live, floors that ramp or drop downward with no logical reason to. floors are usually around 50 seconds more or less to complete. a buy reward for every floor completed, this feels like it's trying to appeal to the Tiktok generation with short attention spans. my only real complaints about the game is that "talking protagonist" perk doesn't speak often enough.
