I played a lot of the game in the 19 hours ive played and i will say that the reviews dont do it justice, its way better

It's a grey, dingy, inhospitable kind of city. But if solving the situation was straightforward, there would be no need for folks like Jack Pepper. Mechanically this is a very competent FPS in the style of Blood and similar post-Doom shooters, where movement and arena awareness is the key to success, with the addition of some extra movement tech for platforming and secret hunting is present, but not entirely needed for winning encounters. If you're not confident with the kind of execution sometimes expected with more complex movement systems, good awareness of the environment and basic mobility is enough to survive even on hard difficulty. What pushes the whole package even further is the amount of care put into the visual and audio presentation. The weapon sprites in particular are full of detail and personality, and the voice acting has a clear amount of effort put into it. There is a lot of dialogue delivered with impressive dedication to the world the characters inhabit. In particular, Troy Baker feels fully invested in the portrayal of Jack Pepper, P. I., even to the extent that his experience with what passed for mustard gas during the mouse version of the Great War could be compared to exceptionally pungent fermented fish. Overall, as a long time fan of fast paced FPS games, Mouse is very solid, with a very entertaining presentation, easy to recommend for anyone nostalgic for classic FPS action, Noir style storylines, and the kind of acting that takes itself just seriously enough to jump past outright parody.
