Not many hours as of yet, but I just know this game is awesome. I refunded it for another game I wanted and then went back and bought it just because I was itching to come back and play. Does not disappoint. It might not be Elden Ring, but it sure as hell scratches that souls itch. Runs like a dream, combat is fun and challenging. The different "shells"(which have their own respective playstyles) are unique and cool. Just a well done soulslike. It does have some bugs and a couple things that I would say that need to be cleaned up like the enemy ai losing interest in you randomly while fighting sometimes. Other than that, its been a real pleasure to play can't wait to play more everytime I get off.

No i podjęta została najgorsza możliwa decyzja, czyli naspamowanie przekoksowanych przeciwników na drodze do bossów którzy mają milion HP i ataki w 8-ciosowych łańcuchach z zepsutymi hitboksami.
An Excellent game for the money! I played during the first demo and loved every bit of it. I died over and over again in the beginning trying to figure out how and where to find the shells. I ran past one several times, hahaha. That said, I appreciate the game didn't hold my hand and explain everything to me. Rather, it gave me just enough information to discover everything else on my own. This is why I love souls games. They also added in so many easter eggs that add such a fun touch. Finding an alternate, hidden ending was hilarious, hahaha. Also, I had no issues running the game oh high settings, which is great for my PC specs. I highly recommend this game because it plays and performs well, the devs continue to update and add to the game, very good combat, a vague enough story to peak interest, and all for a great price.
The character movement is nice, the fighting animations are great but these are basics of a souls-like. Shells and The Tarstone system aren't something I have seen in another souls-like and these are nice additions. My experience with the game was that I saw something like a 150% damage increase on one shell and just focused on getting that. I never felt the need to try any other shell. Weapon upgrades are expensive, so you won't really get the chance to try different options unless you're willing to put in extra effort (this was fixed after a patch, but it was too late for me). Exploring felt good, but at some point, after beating all the bosses, I had tons of those eggs and the game still wouldn't let me continue. I had to look online to find out I needed 168 of them, which I found extremely idiotic, since I'd already killed every boss. They could've simply had a different ending requiring fewer eggs, because at the point where I still couldn't continue, I already had the achievement for cleansing all the checkpoints, and every boss at the gates was dead — maybe I'd missed one optional boss, but how is a boss "optional" if you literally can't continue the story without it? But the most annoying part of the game was that from early to mid-game, I felt so powerful that I basically blasted through most bosses' mechanics without a second thought — just pressing light attacks. Then the last boss hit, and for the first time in a long while, I actually had to watch and respect the mechanics again. That jump was jarring. For the next game, they need a more gradual difficulty curve — if the final boss is meant to be the hardest (obviously), the bosses leading up to it, especially the last three, shouldn't be far easier by comparison. Let the difficulty climb steadily so the final fight feels like a peak, not a cliff.
I can't recommend this game simply because the final area is so BS and the final boss is so poorly designed! Go find yourself something better to play.
Just beat the game after 27 hours. I started off really, really liking the game. It felt tough, getting the first shell made such a huge difference. The game feels dense with a lot of corners to explore and cool weapons to find. The more I played though, the more I started to see the cracks. Limited enemy types, no real reason to use half the status types. Poison? Burn? Why bother. Eventually the game just started to feel tedious. It feels like the developers just ran out of creativity midway through. I was really let down by the final boss, glitchy mess, half the attacks don't land properly because of hitboxes, a total of what, 6-7 attack patterns? I definitely missed things in the game, because by the end I was burned out. I will say, I really enjoyed my first 10-15 hours. Game looks great, combat felt good against most mobs, learning the timing and getting ripostes felt really satisfying. Atmosphere is good. There's a lot to like about this game. But there's a reason Elden Ring is going down as the GOAT, and this game won't. I don't regret buying it, and will play Mortal Shell 3 if it ever gets made. I just wish there was more... depth or soul to it. Some QoL needed for sure, menu is annoying to move through. Every time I wanted to swap tarstones it felt like a chore. Navigating the map by having to remember what the name/category of the beacons felt bad. Let me just move the map and pick the one I want to go to. Ranged felt completely underwhelming against anything other than a basic mob. Granted, I didn't focus on using it too much, but why bother when my melee skills just blew stuff away? The shells also seems sort of unbalanced. I didn't want to invest too heavily into any particular one due to the resource mechanic, and ended up mainly using 3, and even then half the skill set felt pointless. TLDR; It's not bad, but lower your expectations if you're coming from something like Elden Ring.
