Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Sep 13 → 2.5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is broken. The precentages are bogus. You can camp at 1 spot to ambush (50 rounds) and no one will come nor will you be able to spot any by scouts to draw them in. At the same time on first round they can kill you without you having taken a turn. Maxing out initiative you will still be last even in scouting classes. The game freezes up on loading and in combat. You as well as opponents get stuck from time to time forcing reloads. Opponents are not as limited by travel distances. The min and maxing of stats by lvls do nothing. Markets are useless with high time penalties and few benefits save for enchants and states which again penalize time. Great concept but poorly done in actual game play causing frustration and frequent rage quits. There's no reward but the lack of a penalty and feeling of success after mitigating the damage done.
Fantastic video game adaption of a great tabletop game. It's as gritty and dark as Warhammer Fantasy gets, and the warbands have their distinctive playstyle and flavor (big fan of the Vampires particularly). It is a hard game, though - read the guides, trust me. Also better to play it safe than risk a wipe because death is permanent. The only complaint I have is the forced ironman with no way to save manually - I get that it fits the general grimness, but it's simply not how I enjoy playing games and I find that once you're invested in a warband, it saps the motivation to continue playing and thus risk losing them with no way back. For the current sale price especially, get it if you like Warhammer Fantasy!

I didn't enjoy this game. It might have been good for its time, but playing it in late 2024, I found it frustrating and unengaging. The game kept crashing, and I had to rely on a post in the discussion tab just to get it to start—something players shouldn't have to deal with. The slow gameplay was also a major downside for me. This style of gameplay has come a long way in the past decade, and while this may have been innovative back then, it's not a game I'd play again or recommend to others.
its a good game for masochists and people with no skill at all and rely on nothing but RNG because ♥♥♥♥ me when my character has a 95% chance to do anything and fails every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time then have your maxed out leader be crit stunned every turn by the other teams weakest member then have every enemies ranged unit just destroy you because they never miss a shot but yours will almost never hit so all in all its a great game for killing time if your a masochist or just dont like to plan anything out and win by pure luck
Do you enjoy suffering? Do you enjoy the game actively working against you trying to have fun? Well this one's for you, then.
Playing against friends can be genuinely fun with some work, since games with friends can persist like campaign matches. However, the single-player is atrocious and both game modes have significant bugs. There is barely any point in leveling up or developing your team, because whomever you fight will be approximately balanced to the level your team is at, high or low. The "stage" missions are not fun at all because enemies you kill are just replaced (your guys will not be replaced if they eventually get worn down) and they often require inventory management without a good inventory UI. Altogether a very promising game whose multiplayer is serviceable and single-player is rendered not worth playing by certain mechanics.
An purely ironman game really needs to have better controls.
The game is like XCOM for Warhammer. And unfortunately in alot of bad ways. - It feels like the to-hit % is bias toward the enemy. It probably isnt, but it FEELS like it is. You will hit alot less, even on skills that make the enemy dodge less successful. And they will hit and dodge more often. - Difficulty. There isnt a setting for it. And the first couple of missions do feel somewhat equal in footing. But after that, you'll find Brutal and higher are the only difficulty you'll encounter. And with how often your team will be out of action from wounds, expect it to get harder. - RNG Wounds. This is particularly annoying. It makes things interesting sure. But if your hero loses a leg, and they were made to be an agile character? Whoops, now they cant climb/jump. Basically a dead weight and almost makes you want to do over. - Ironman Only. So you cant actually do over. Any decision or botched RNG result is permanent. It doesnt matter if its ruined your team or you mis-clicked an option. Which doesnt feel good that its forced. Have it as an option, but dont make it mandatory. Id love for a Wahammer squad strategy set in Fantasy. But unfortunately this isnt it.
Alright look, Rogue Factor and Focus Inter... have taken what was a very good table top game yet again, blood bowl being the other that I am speaking of, and totally ruined the play experience. Yes I know this discussion has been going on from the beginning. And yes I agree that RNG does make these situations probable. But probability does not. And when I can predict that these situations are happening it is no longer a RNG thing. Because it is no longer random. I dont know what programing they put it, but what ever it is, it takes out the RNG and decides that you will experience a loss no matter what you do. You will see the NPC take actions with low chances of success and never fail on those actions. Where as at the same time you will take actions with very high chances of success and fail more times than not. This is the same thing that takes place in Blood Bowl. And for those of you that have not played the table top games, please do not use these games as a guide line of weather or not you would like to play the table top versions. The table top versions are a true RNG and not this pathetic attempt to increase the difficulty of the game to make up for a weak NPC. And its not just the cheating RNG but it does not follow the same rules of the game that the players are bound by. How does a human in heavy armor run down a skaven in cloth? Ya it happens. So if you an easy game vs the npc but end up having your war band totally decemated and take the injuries that takes all that progress you had made worthless. Then this is a game for you. And lastly please do not think that the table top games that these 2 games where made from are the same. They are not. The table top game is a vastly better experience. Granted harder to find a game for but so much better and worth the time and trouble to find a game.
