Moonlight Peaks

After playing 20 hours of this game, I think I've gathered enough ideas, and opinions to form a review. I was a bit skeptical at first, because for one... I play lots of these types of games, and I've yet to finish a couple of them. Yes... That's a problem, but isn't related to the game, lolol. Well. One thing that I noticed is that this game is very artsy. Not only it offers you two Portrait styles to choose from, but the bachelors and bachelorettes are quite varied and intriguing. I absolute fell in love with the card game. And there's several options for quality of life in here, many that I've found myself thinking in other games 'hm, this is tiring, grindy and annoying, how can I make it better?' And yet, the dev(s) managed to solve of these issues in the game with such creativity. So much so that it's very intuitive, and it makes me want to return to the game, because I'm having fun playing it. Runs well on both RoG and PC with no issues. I only have a few complaints. The whole... inclusiveness thing. It doesn't feel nuanced or well fleshed out, it feels icky. It's very in your face, it's uncomfortable, and leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Not because I'm prejudiced, but because it feels performative. Like you're trying really hard to make every single person happy. I'm not sure if I'm biased because of the current state of gaming industry as of late, or if it doesn't quite hit well when it comes to the writing in this. I think there's ways to introduce such subjects in impactful manners. If you need to spell it out all the time, then you cheapen the meaning and the safety you're trying to convey to others. Aside from that, regarding the gameplay. There are a few times that I find myself lost in regards of 'what to do next' but I think I've been able to circuvent that well by exploring. Overall I recommend this game! I'm having fun, cheers.

I love this game, it's so much fun. a really unique farming game

You can have a love story with a treeeeeee!

A unique spin on the farming sim genre! The world/artwork is beautiful and the story and characters are delightfully spooky, quirky, and at times filled with drama. There are a few QoL updates that the game could use, but overall it's really strong and a lot of fun to play. I haven't come across any bugs or performance issues yet, playing on PC

I've been waiting on this game to come out for the last few months, and I'm not disappointed for the wait. The design and characters are charming, cute and funny. The mechanics are simple and recipies are not too complex where it turns me off from playing. I feel like I'm slowly building my farming empire. I've played for at least 4 hours at a time, there's honestly so much to do. Can't wait to see what else the team does with this game - it's the perfect "dark cozy" game imo.

This is a very fun, very cute and cozy game. The content is well-paced, so you get to the end of the game around the end of year 2, which I find ideal for this kind of game. Most characters are quirky and likable, and for those who aren't - let's say it's intentional. The daily loop is pretty well balanced so that your day is busy, but not to stressful levels. And finally, the gothic, comfy vampire and supernatural aesthetic, the magic and transformations available in the game give it a unique charm that I adored.

What an adorable little spin on the Simlife scene! Lively townsfolk of Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches! After almost 100 hours on just my first year alone, with surprises each season. I am so in love with this game, my dark little cozy heart is in heaven!
