ive almost had to alt-f4 multiple times within just 20 mins of play cause the controls are so awful on PC. no auto saving as i can tell either. game crashed and i had to start over.
Well the comments are true, it's a percentage chance you could encounter a game breaking bug. I got 20 minutes in and after being explained different types of fish that are quick, strong, and have different lure types for specific fish it opened my journal to show me my new catch and then I was stuck. I was unable to exit my journal, pressing Esc or J even Tab, no button would kick me out of the journal, nor could I select any fish to perhaps get a better look at it as I thought maybe I was supposed to do something and missed it. Afterwards I quit the game and then tried to reload only to find there was no auto-save and I had to restart. Maybe some other time but I got this on sale for $4 so I'm not mad and suggest you wait for a sale too if you feel lucky. Also, the story is a bit strange. It's a spoiler so stop reading if you care. I find it find it odd that your spouse gives you a present and then according to the narrative your spouse died later that same day, possibly minutes later we don't know and it's not shown? Instead there's a 3 year time skip and you find out they died and we never opened our present. Now the game doesn't say they died that day in the intro cutscene but our character mentioned they would open the present that night and we didn't so I can only assume my wife tripped overboard for being a clutz and not because our boat got hit by a whale. Yes our boat got hit by a whale we were both fine, there was danger but we were completely fine as it was a fakeout scene, not real danger. So I can only assume my wife gave me the present, turned around and tripped overboard a second later but for some reason THAT had to be a mystery. Idk, maybe I'm wrong and that gets fleshed out later in the story but I won't know if I can't play the game.

This game is a slow paced game, perfect when one wants to contemplate and go slowly. But you have some tasks to do in couple of days (in the gameworld). It is about fishing, cooking and taking care of a small coastline village in Canada, all that by discovering information about a drama.

very sad to report that i tried to play this without a controller and it is genuinely impossible. i'm not sure how much better the controls would be with a controller, but if you only have access to a keyboard, i would not recommend this game
Every time I go into settings/options menu, or leave it, the screen mode changes to windowed. I can ALT+Enter every time, but that gets boring really soon...

I bought right after it was released because I discovered the developers behind promoting the production of it through twitter (they share about the petting the dog features and I'm immediately intrigue). With the price and the way the patch when it was released just really BUGS and so unplayable, I don't think it was worth it.. but I still trust the dev and wait for years for development and fixes. I played it a few times after the updated patch and quite enjoyed it even though there's still a lot of things that I wished could still be fixed in later update for smoother play but well.. can't believe they stopped continuing (or that is as far as I know) even tho it has so much potentials. Too bad really :/
