Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There’s a few ways you can go about doing a sequel, and Monster Train 2 goes the safe route – this is Monster Train 1, but bigger and better in every conceivable way, to the point of making the original obsolete. Outside of the welcome addition of a deployment phase (which seriously helps against being draw screwed), this plays almost identically to its predecessor. But man, there’s just so much STUFF here. Many deckbuilders run out of steam at about the 50 hour mark (including MT1) because you feel like you’ve seen every combo of cards and foes, and there isn’t enough variety in the gameplay to sustain it. There’s a reason why people have 100s of hours in Slay the Spire, and Monster Train 2 might be the first game I’ve played that can come close to that level of variety. There’s dailies, challenge modes, endless modes as well as ten difficulties on the regular mode. To talk around spoilers a bit, there are a lot of factions that open up as you play and at the time of writing (with the new DLC) there is a truly boggling number of clan and hero combinations. The new factions also feel better balanced and more interesting than those of MT1, with an impressive variety of new mechanics and combinations. Like all deckbuilders there is always the possibility to get a bricked run, but it’s relatively uncommon and it was very rare even at high Covent levels that I couldn’t cobble something together. Even at full price MT2 represents an incredible value for deckbuilding enthusiasts, and comes extremely strongly recommended – I’ve not played a deckbuilder that grabbed me like this since probably Cobalt Core.

Really good deckbuilder roguelite , maybe clone and upgrade is a bit op imo but most classes have a different strategy for each of it , bosses are cool and unique with core mechanics to help you tackle them , variety is good and most of the time the game gives you alot of agency in your choices 7.8/10 really good
This game gives you so much, and then it gives you even more. The number of factions you can pick from is vast and makes the possible combinations feel almost infinite. I'm working through trying to win with every combo, and i am far from even halfway done. This game blows Monster Train 1 out of the water and has even replaced slay the spire for me. It's just that good.

Good game. Too bad it's a bit expensive IMO.
