About
Welcome, Novice, to Holy Island, home to the greatest monastic library of the Dark Ages! You are tasked with running this revered place of learning, and completing our Legendary Collection...
Every morning new books are delivered, each bearing a distinct symbol upon their cover. Remember them well! Then place them upon shelves according to thine own design.
Cometh the night, you must deliver the Scribes their chosen tomes. Recall where thy books are placed, for this is a test of thine memory!
The Abbot shall reward thy toils with Blessings. Spend them on Perkes to Level Up thy Strength, Speed and Carpentry skill. Or expand the Collection by raising new and lofty shelves or unlocking new chambers.
After dark, vermin, spirits and all manner of beasts shall assail thy Collection. Take up thy dagger, crossbow or holy cross to preserve thy labours. Then use the quill to restore any damaged books. Note that thou can reduce or disable thy foes if a more chilled experience is desired.
Immerse thyself in a host of systems-based emergent gameplay, including simulated flame and combustion, water dousing by pail, the chaotic physics of tumbling and thrown books, a day and night cycle, ballistic weapons and melee combat.

Very cool!
ITS REALLY FUN I SHALL LEAVE A MORE DETAILED REVIEW LATER Here's my Co-op Let's Play: https://youtu.be/969_rVQ5C1w?si=rEmbBQrnN04Bld1F
I love this game. It's made by two people, and it's fun! I and my boyfriend played the demo MONTHS ago, and we had a ball. Then he bought the game for me yesterday and we played for 80 minutes. It's cozy, it's crazy, and I think he shot me in the back lol. The fact that you get to organise and then need to use that organisation to your best ability is wonderful, and feels like a great way to exercise your brain. I love that there's controller support, and that you can turn off head bob and camera shake (Thank you devs!!).

Super fun! It can get a little chaotic if you're playing alone, but luckily you can pretty much edit most of the aspects of the game. Getting overwhelmed because there are too many books coming in? Just fiddle with the settings. The monsters keep touching you? Turn them off fully, or lower the chances of them spawning. It's fun. Wish it had come out in the summer though so I could've fully immersed myself in "hot monk summer". Oh well, "sultry monk autumn" here I come!
monk took book me put back
So much fun and cozy. I can see this being chill for solo but my duo and I like playing it together <3 10/10
Each day you get a new batch of books shipped in and monks return yesterday's checkout. Then you sort, organize, reorganize & upgrade the library (free/unlimited time to do so), then start the evening. Evening falls with a generous timer starting a countdown to locating the books for checkout typically while fighting (optional setting for those who want more peaceful adventuring) monsters intent to make it more difficult. It's genuinely fun to develop your own sorting method, especially with friends. Maybe shapes all go here & animals there, but then you run out of shelving space so need to adjust. Opening up new rooms and expanding happens during the day cycle so is easy to spend as much or as little time as you like. Looking forward to seeing this one keep growing!
Picked this up the moment I noticed it was out. The fact you can turn things off, like monsters and events, if you want a more relaxed experience, and if you don't, you can ramp them up, is a really interesting and unique add to this game. It was the only game of its type that was on my radar and I am so glad it was. Playing with my duo made even the most relaxed version of the game feel like a tense moment in time, since they decided to go buy every bookshelf and place things wherever they wanted, basically. Trying to find where anything was put is/was part of the fun, though. Right? It's small, installs quickly, and I ended up playing three hours of it without realising three hours had passed. Seems stable, graphics are not anything to die for, but they're quaint and pleasing. Controls are very easy, it's not hard at all to figure out game play, and the price point is decent right now as well. Do yourself a favour, pick it up and play it for a while. It's a solid, affordable game in a genre that doesn't have nearly enough to it. Thanks, developers, for the experience!
This game is so much fun! Played coop with my best friend when the demo dropped and bought the full game as it released and it's only gotten better. No AI, options to make the game as chill as you like, and the perfect mix of sorting and silly features. Cannot recommend this enough if you want something fun and a little creepy that plays well even on a device with lower specs.
the best sorting game i've played this year simply for the fact that it tries and succeeds to stand on its own without being a copycat of the famous ones. the aesthetic is awesome and so far i had no problem with the gameplay, and i can feel myself pouring a lot more time into this
