Literally such a cool aesthetic and so much fun! It's like all the best fantasy sci-fi interdimensional spacefaring elements of Minecraft's lore mixed with the bizarre characters and themes from Adventure Time all wrapped up and served on something that plays like DOOM
So you have other game developers saying peoples opinions are copy and pasted or learned from a bigger influencer aka not their own original ideas. This game is one of the best and greatest games I have played it's really that simple this opinion is my own formed with my own braincells so other game developers can screw their crappy gaming companies that barely stand a chance. Scumhead easily solo's big titled games and Mohrta is a shining gemstone in a otherwise sea of sh1t. Every new game that other game developers release is just bad but this one will withstand the ages.

Hands down one of the best shooters I've played since Amid Evil. The level design, and creativity of this game is out of this world. Every single creature I came across I exclaimed out loud "What the hell is this thing?!". Best compliment I can give it. If you like shooters, just pick this up. You'll love it.
very good game. lets you play the levels in any order you like and new weapons after nearly every boss lets you play how you want. there are 4 endings based on the people you talk to and the choices you make.
A beautiful and strange game with such a haunting soundtrack.
Haven't finished it yet, but so far it is a TON of fun, and just so cool to explore. Go in blind, it's not unfair, just a little tough. Art style is gorgeous. Used to be I would want to see remakes of my favorite stuff to get a closer look. don't fall for the trap. Reject sequels, prequels, remakes, reboots and spin offs. Do that, and set your imagination free with games like this that make you reimagine the possible.
Explore the Strange?

Mohrta was a unique, weird, and fun experience! It's a fast action shooter with good level design, excellent ambience, and a wonderful soundtrack. I think the story is great, It has depth, and as the game progresses more lore is revealed. Most of the bosses were good too, only 1-2 were a bit difficult.

A few things that bugged me: (Not exactly sure, but these are probably because limitations of the GZDoom engine) -FPS Spikes In certain areas, even after messing around with graphics settings, FPS drops can happen. I don't know if this is a common issue, or only I had this problem. It's nothing crazy but mildly annoying. -Can't cancel a reload You can't stop a reload or switch to a different weapon to stop the process. This is nerve wracking when the gun you use has a slow reload animation. So you must dodge until then, and wait for the reload to finish.

Overall: Mohrta isn't perfect, the game has flaws. But the positives overwhelm the negatives I think. If you prefer action shooters with lore, good level design, and an awesome soundtrack of dungeon synth. It's a high chance you'll like Mohrta!
When people say "games can be art", this is what they mean. Mohrta is a first person shooter that takes you on a wild adventure through a frankly unforgettable world. Every single thing about this game is weird. The characters are weird, the setting is weird, the story is weird. Its all weird. You will feel out of place absolutely every moment of this game, and its fantastic. I don't want to say too much more about it because part of the joy is experiencing it, but if you think this looks at all like it might be your thing, give it a look!
Mohrta was quite the supprise. All things considered it's a genuinely good retro fps. Very fun and interesting themes, fun to explore, the worlds are excellent. There are plenty of fun weapons to unlock, the music is very good. It's just good. Worth a buy. I do not regret playing.
Mohrta feels like a game with a lot of passion behind it. Visauls are some good old chunky graphics, but feel intentional and used for many interesting visual designs. The gameplaye is a relatively simplistic shooter, but is pretty satisfying. The game consists of several areas with somewhat linear levels, but can be explored in any order you so choose. Also allowing you to hope in and out after any progression point. This feels very intentional as the rewards in most areas is stat upgrades and weapons. The balance of which are questionable at times, but many could be the leg up you need for a tough area. Speaking of which, each area is entirely unique, both visually and mechanically. The variety alone is enough to entice exploration, just to see whats around the next corner. If you like shooters with a emphasis on exploration, would recommend!
