Just a bit too short - one more level would be perfect. World is very intresting, shame we cant learn more about it. For some reason when i first installed it all keys were unbound. Also for some reason on first install opening journal would literally unbind every key and i couldnt close it until i deleted settings file. Solid 8/10 game.

good game
DUDE HELL YEAH!
First of all , the level design of this game is at a level where it can be studied both geometrically and artistically. Second , the game is filled to the brim with some of the most unique and interesting character and enemy designs. This game was made with love , from start to finish.
It's one of these games you only play through once, which isn't a bad thing. You're looking at a comfortable 6 to 10 hours of playtime during whitch you'll enjoy a unique atmosphere paired with one of the more creative worlds i've seen. The level design, while quite linear and not quite perfect for the gameplay it hosts makes you all the more immersed in the game. Every location feels unique and is equipped with new challenges for you to overcome, sometimes changing the set of enemies in the middle of a "chapter". Through the game you will gain acces to a vast arsenal of weaponry, which is nice, it gives you a lot of choice, but unfortunately most of the 25-ish weapons pale in comparison to the starting revolver and the shotgun you find at the start of the game... that being said every weapon has two fire modes, so it can be beneficial to keep an otherwise "useless" piece of kit for it's charge attack. The story of the game is simple, and you may experience a bit of boredom around chapter 4-5, where enemies become a bit bullet-spongey, but if you explore the levels thoroughly you'll find everything this game has to offer and will be satisfied. It's better to thinhk of this games genre as more of a souls-like than a classical boom-shoot (if you even use such terminology) That being said... ... ... this game is technically a very elaborate doom wad... blessed by John Carmacks divine coding touch... how the hell does it manage to occasionaly run like ♥♥♥♥? Bugs and stutters while not common are noticable enough to sometimes be a problem. All in all a good game, would recommend :)
