The prestige in this game is not well balanced. You can make it to the end of the game only using prestige two or three times. Also, there is no prestige option that makes it easier to re-apply all your stats and equipment bonuses so if you're deep in the well and prestige you have to manually click 16 stat buttons 70 times each, and 24 equipment buttons 50 times each. This is extremely tedious and part of the reason why I didn't actually beat the game. I got to the bottom of the well on my third prestige and realized that I hadn't properly read all of the talents, failing to max one of them and failing to put any points into a damage increasing one. Thus, even though I had basically all other talents maxed I was unable to beat the boss and would have had to prestige again. Too much meaningless clicking, too much time spent. I uninstalled instead. In addition to the clicking at each prestige, I should note that you don't really descend into the well that much faster. The monsters slowly appear and slowly shamble over to you at the same speed regardless, there is no talent that can increase this speed. So after a prestige there is an interminable slog through early stages that mean nothing just to get back to where you were. In restrospect, I wonder if this is why the game doesn't require more than 2-4 prestiges to beat. On the positive side, I would say that the art style is great if you like the Diablo/Diablo 2 aesthetic (and let's be honest, if you don't like that aesthetic then why are you even looking at this store page?). The different characters are fine, although there's nothing like a descrption of what each character's special skill does. Alchemist and Widow are obvious, but the Knight's special attack doesn't have much of a special animation and I think it just does some extra damage? I don't even know what the Deformed's special attack is, I never really saw it in action. Overall, I think this is eminently skippable, even if you're a fan of incrementals/idlers. Enjoy the art in the store page, and then move on to a better game.

My three takeaways: 1. A significant amount of time I played this was spent waiting for the floors to progress at max level. Having not a single thing to do. 2. The first rebirth upgrade give auto damage to all enemies and invalidates everything else in the game, until you reach the late game, all you need is some health levels, thats it. 3. Over 95% of the interaction I had with the game was holding down various + buttons. The other 5% were waiting for slow text prompt cutscenes. This feels like a half baked protoype of a game. Like it's a small taste test of an actual game.
For the asking price, what’s on offer simply isn’t worth it. As a straightforward idle game, Miseria is competently put together. Nothing about it is surprising or groundbreaking, yet it is solidly made. The dark fantasy aesthetic and tone, paired with its “beware what you wish for” narrative, are executed well, and the steady progression delivers a pleasant, reliable drip of dopamine. The problem is that there just isn’t enough of it. You’ll burn through the entire experience in about three hours. Upgrades cap out at a disappointingly low level, the number of floors you progress through is limited, and while the boons that encourage resets are nice, like everything else in the game they feel underdeveloped and sparse. In the end it comes across as roughly a fifth of the game it should have been, especially at this price point and when measured against virtually any other idler in the genre. Skip it.
It´s a solid idle game for people who have never engaged with the genre. It is incredibly easy to understand and progress. That said, anyone with even some experience and expectations will probably be disappointed at the lack of content and depth. There is no real "build" variety and no absurd scaling that other idle games usually tap into. I liked it well enough for what it is, but I can´t recommend it. What´s there feels more like the tutorial of the real game, the basis of something that could potentially be really great with another year of proper content and systems added. If Steam allowed it, I would give it a "Mixed" rating, instead of a "Not recommended".
Fun game but too short. Way too short. 4x the content needed unless you wait for a $1-2 sale.
The story is pretty meh, the gameplay is pretty basic but it was still fun to play. A fun autobattler/incremental game that didn't require too much grinding, but still let me feel overpowered destroying enemies. Worth a few hours of time Also the 100% achievement was pretty easy, no weird restrictions or time limits- just do everything
The beginning is very good. Mid-game is meh. Late/end-game no gameplay. Not good.
not worth the money, grindfest with nothing to do. upgrade 4 stats per char and equipment from time to time to prestige in the moster boring way.
It is an nice game, but the pricing kills my fun. The artstyle captured me but after nearly 5 hours it's over. This game costs nearly 10€! 5€ would be appropriate, more is a ripoff...
