My pick for 2026 GOTY!
didn't know mouse politics had so many baddies
if you're a fan of the top down zelda games but want a more challenging experience, this is the game for you. it does have modifiers that could make your game easier as well, but i enjoyed the experience as played normally.

Really good follow-up to Shovel Knight, I can see the difficulty and parts of the story being a turn off for some people but I really enjoyed it.
espectacular si te gustan los juegos retros
Such a solid game in every part of its design. It definitely has one of the rougher starts possible with somethings giving you little room for error and pretty much zero adjustments possible in equipment. It's insane how the first region of enemies would chunk half of my pea size hp bar, then throw me into a pit for the rest of it to be gone. The customization with the trinkets and weapons later on makes up for this to give a pretty balanced experience that directly rewards interacting with secrets and side quests. Every region of the game stays fresh with unique mechanics, items, and ways to get rich or lose everything you saved up. Also, there are a ridiculous amount of ways to modify the game to make it harder or easier, which I find to be a nice way to give some replayability.
I love this game! I have never played it before. However, it gave me a wild sense of nostalgia. 10/10 Soundtrack, 10/10 world design. The platforming was kind of eratic. But after some getting used to made it fun and exciting every dungeon! Great story as well. 9/10
absolutely loved it!
Mina the Hollower is a great game, which manages to take the basic design of old Zelda games and bring a ton of new ideas to make it interesting today. The game and level designs are very well thought out, with a world which, without a need for a map, we come to be able to properly navigate and remember (not everything, but it is definitely true of areas we must traverse multiple times). The movement and concept of burrowing to then jump further is used in many different ways, especially with some of the trinkets which allow for more movement options. The boss fights were all very interesting and fun. There were many encounters and small areas which were clearly not mandatory to complete the game. Be it small rooms with a treasure at the end of a small parkour and/or combat challenge, or impressive tough bosses that are part of some NPC's small storyline, they were all very satisfying to discover and fun to play.
