I am so glad I gave this game a try. The ages system is so much fun and provides so much replayability and challenge. I really recommend this game to anyone that loves 4x games. This game has so much potential and I hope the dev team is able to continue to create content for this game long into the future. My favourite game of the year.
Tried multiple times, both as host and as join, can't play multiplayer. Not paying money for a incomplete game that pretends to have features that is doesn't. Plus is true Paradox style they have multiple DLCs FOR SALE before the main game even works. lol Definitely pass on this one, play Civilization instead.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Every time I try to play multiplayer, and we both ready up, the host goes into the game after the countdown, and the friend gets kicked back to the menu. Whether I host or they host, it doesn't matter. The host is put in the game, and the friend (who was in the lobby) gets kicked to the menu. So, I never even got to play the damn game. Good stuff.
Uniq timelines are fun to explore and every game will not be the same.
I love that you can shape you civilization at each age according to how you want to play or face your current challenge, and that each age can have some variation with actual different technologies available!
You just have to ignore the optics... which maybe is easy for me growing up with games in the 90s and being a fan of early paradox games which were basically a map. A lot of the systems behind are great extensions to what I would call the tired civ forumla. It is great to see that someone dared to challange a lot of the benchmark ways to do stuff in this kind of games. I think the basically "manapoints" and the management based on how you develop your nation over time, open up especially great strategies in multiplayer. The field upgrade system and chains with internal trade to keep production lines up is hands down the best solution in any such game, and we can already see civ 7 copy some of it in the trailers. The fighting system is ugly and time consuming but actually brings some tactical choice to troop types beyond, best attack stat good biggest stack win. For a small studio this is a good effort, and while the dlcs don´t add giant amount of content, they strengthen the game exactly where its needed. The worst issue was that it released without simultanius multiplayer and even now that part desyncs a lot when you go up to 4+ humans. Which is a shame and hopefully the next thing that gets improved. Still enough in the patches is going in the correct direction for me to give this one a thumbs up by now.
fantastic, thanks for the demo, buying it now!
Played during the free weekend. The game is fun. The system of alternative ages is really interesting. Due to improvements system and chain of goods system (Wheat->Flour->Bread), the game feels a little like a board game. The AI is agressive and isn't afraid of going to war if they think you're weaker. My only complaint is the UI - it feels a little cluttered at times. We could be given a warning on a map if some building doesn't work due to lack of resources or religion for example.
