Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best JP #40, worst KR #80 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 19.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 20.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this game is lowkey life-changing. it has an amazing story, amazing cast, and amazing atmosphere that makes you wanting to play for longer. i actually wish the story itself was also longer as time went on and i got closer to the endgame. compared to other atlus games, the fantasy setting serves well for the narrative and the world-building and i hope to see a sequel in the works! this game is really strong in both its execution and how it conveys the main themes of the story. as you follow our protagonist around euchronia, you learn more about the class struggles, the racial tensions, and the moral dilemmas faced by the different tribes. by gathering allies on your way, you eventually establish yourself in the world that feels like a breath of fresh air in the current rpg-story climate. accompanied by an amazing soundtrack and stylish ui, it is still an atlus game, through and through, and all the parts people love its games for. if i could play this game for the first time, i would do it in a heartbeat. <3

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Good game. Boy, the epilogue is long. Its similar to Persona games with some fresh differences. Not quite as good as the Persona games for me, but still enjoyable.

Similarly to other reviewers moving on from Persona 3R/4G/5R, Metaphor Refantazio is definitely a mixed bag of interesting innovations on the Persona and SMT formula while clearly showing dips in quality at points. The gameplay is probably this game's biggest stand-out, I particularly love the game's balancing up to 3rd dungeon where enemies feel genuinely threatening while keeping it so that you can still feasibly complete dungeons in a single day with good item management. Running low on MP items and dragging the party through the last stretch evoked that rush inside me that many of Person titles couldn't manage past the first dungeon at most. There is also the Job (or Archetype) System which ditches more free-form pokemon-like collection aspects for a more stream-lined way to do character progression. While this is a great addition that both allows for tighter balancing as well as opening up changing Jobs for all party members again, there are also some arbitrary limitations such as synthesis skills and
Royal Archetypes
that makes it clear which Jobs the developers really want you to choose for each character. What ends up happening is that character builds end up all looking about the same by the end of the game, even with the main character. There is also the story, which centres around a political plot where your character seeks to become king by the time frame of around a year. I must admit, the political intrigue and analogies did draw me in, and so did the stellar characterization of the main villain. While the main cast was pretty forgettable for the most part, many of the supporting followers' storylines kept me invested long enough to max out everything before the final deadline. Unfortunately, all of this was book-ended with a latter half that seemed to drag on and on before concluding with a whimpering nose-dive. All of the above made for an experience that is fundamentally middle-centric. My highest point of enjoyment took place around the 3rd-4th area where the monotomy of the dungeons haven't set in yet and there remained so many Archetypes of unlock. Past that point, the game sort of devolves into uninteresting fields of enemies for you to slog through and grind. My biggest point complaint with the game must the musical direction. With this being Atlus, I was expecting another audio-visual treat the likes of any mainstream or even spin-off persona game. Instead, my excitement slowly soured into dread as the the game cycled between the battle theme, the ambushed battle theme, and the boss battle for the entirety of its run-time, even during some of the most important and - otherwise emotion - story moments. Aside from Warriors in Valour, none of the battle themes came off as anything other than generically JRPG, with horns and drums that sounds the part but never stuck in your head. This, and the oddly low audio quality for voices and ambience, was a massive disappointment and vastly affected my enjoyment of the playthrough. Tl;dr: The gameplay was kinda neat, and the story was good for the first half. But my enjoyment of the game wore off entirely by the end due to the lack of character-building and dungeon-design variety. Music and audio-quality as a whole was also sub-par. Would recommend if you want a jumping-off point into SMT and/or Persona and are not too fussed about generic JRPG stuff.
