Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best JP #40, worst KR #80 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 19.71/day in the week to Aug 10 → 20.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This Game Is One Big Metaphor!
“Fantasy is not a lie. It is a possibility.” This game is amazing. The narrative is really well written, the turn-based combat feels unique and satisfying, and the whole gameplay is just a feast for the eyes. The sound design also deserves a shoutout, the music and sound effects fit the game's themes so well that they make every moment feel more immersive. The main story can feel a bit predictable at times, but honestly, the way this game presents and explores the concept of “fantasy” is something else. It’s not just a fantasy world or setting, it makes you think about what fantasy actually means, why we dream about a better world, and how those dreams can shape reality.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

If you like Persona games you’re probably going to like this. I get a Persona meets early Final Fantasy vibe out of this one. The setting so far seems to be more of a feudal medieval setting instead of a bit of high school BS. However the calendar system, social bonding and collecting archetypes (instead of personas) are all extremely reminiscent if you’ve played persona. There is a gameplay mechanic where you can defeat weaker enemies in real time that is awesome instead of going into a turned based battle to wasted 2-3 minutes defeating said enemies. That is a top notch addition in my opinion. Long story short, if you like jrpgs, especially of the persona variety, like Nike, just do it! Especially when it’s more than half off in a sale!

Peor que el Final Fantasy 2
O lodestar, whose light reveals the king's own path... Awaken!
I think it's kind of impossible to talk about this game without the comparing it to Persona. I will say that I enjoyed this game more! I think what is most interesting about the combat style is the fact that all of your party characters get the chance to learn any Archetype, unlike with Persona 5 (the only one I've play so far, so will be my basis of comparison) where each character has their 1 Persona giving them a kind of concrete strength and weakness. This forces you to strategize a bit more. What type of Archetypes best suit a character? Where do you put in your efforts in making specific Archetypes stronger? What Archetypes and party members do you select for different dungeons? As such, battle doesn't feel as repetitive and is a constant flow of making new decisions. From my own experience with P5, I remember I felt like at a certain point, using basic physical attack didn't feel important, and I had a lot of MP available. I didn't feel the same way about Metaphor since I feel like I was more careful about conserving MP and would use a basic attack or strategize otherwise in order to conserve for bosses. All in all, I just felt like I had to think a little more for this game, and it made it more fun. The only downside I would say is that in my own gameplay, I didn't really use the party members that get unlocked later as much. Junah was helpful for some certain specific scenarios, but because I had spent some time unlocking and leveling up more Archetypes of the earlier members, the latter ones didn't get as much playtime. I do think I like the maps of P5 castles a bit more because they had those fun puzzles and mazes, but it's not like Metaphor's were boring and plain. I also really liked the flow of this gameplay as well. I don't really know how to explain it, but it just felt very rewarding to me. Since there are multiple side quests and dungeons to do, you can't really do all the combat stuff in one in-game day. But you are given an appropriate amount of days to do the things that you know you need to get done. I liked this more in comparison to like Momentos for example. The visuals of the world building were whatever. I didn't care much about it and rarely did I go, "Wow, this is so beautiful!" while running around. The character design and drawn art is stunning though. The story, I am a really huge fan of. Louis is such an intriguing and well done villain. Not surface level at all, and honestly a great representation of how a leader who has done objectively horrific things can still obtain support from the masses. I think it's really great overall, with some minor pacing issues from the second half of the game. I love the characters and care about them, which I think is obviously important in any story focused game. Strohl, you are so charming and awesome... Heismay's social link lowkey made me cry multiple times. Overall, A NEW FAVORITE!
