Hi! I'm Kiakkers, I'm 15, and this is my first indie game. I have been learning game development since I was around 9, and to this day, I'm still figuring out how it's done. Development on Metal Goose began in June 2024, and any feedback you can provide is greatly valued!

im leaving a positive review cause im 100% sure if i could play the game i would love it but right now it is unplayable for me and the screen is just flashing colours and objects
Let me start this review off by saying this game has A LOT of potential! The art work is amazing, combat is intuitive & rewarding while not being overly difficult. As a 1st project from a 15 YEAR OLD this is truly a great work in progress. But that's exactly what it is, a work in progress. The game is unfortunately terribly optimized, resulting in constant lag spikes & frame drops to the point of it not really being playable past the tutorial since Boomer Shooter's rely on that steady 60fps smooth gameplay. I know this game is only in early access & been out for a couple of months, but I think these issues are too much even for an early access game. I wrote this review to remind myself to come back to this game in a few months or years to check it out after it's been optimized, and to also let the creator know what needs to be improved on in the future. I look forward to (hopefully) changing my review in the coming months after these issues have been addressed. 1.5 / 10 (Rating based ENTIRELY on the fact that it doesn't run :( at least good visuals)

0 game 1950 game not 2026 xd full of bugs & sh!t stupid game
I only played for about 30 minutes, and already I'm having a lot of fun with it. The mechanics are simple and easy enough to understand, the movement system is good, and the music is iconic. I love the style that the game graphics are in, and I absolutely adore the silly sfx choices for the game. Only two suggestions for bug fixes. Namely, I died because an impaler glitched me through some stairs and I couldn't escape. Maybe add a button to respawn you at the start of the section you're in if you end up getting stuck? Also, there was one section where the enemies spawned for like half a section, and then immediately despawned, which allowed me to progress. While I'm not one to normally complain about a freebie, I actually really enjoy the combat in this game. Overall, a really fun game and a cool concept behind it. I absolutely can see myself continuing to play it and even recommending it to others.
There are tons of bugs, like alot, you can spawn 2 bosses by accident and glitch through walls, great game but needs alot of fixes
My screen used to be white, but i guess i was just tweaking because now it works. Great game, although the amount of ULTRAKILL references left me in a coma. I mean, did you really think you were slick by making the tv man say "Do you... Ever think of sleeping forever, fellow robot?" It aint 7-2 bro im sorry

Its free, but i had to waist minutes of my life that I can never get back just to find out that this game is free because you pay in time playing it. Then you realize that its completely absent of anything resembling fun. Dont make the same mistake as me. Don't even bother with this one ladies and gentlemen.
