Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 0.29/day in the week after.

If Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Resident Evil had a kid this would be the kid. Its very fun even in single player and thats hard for me to stand on especially since I love cooperative games mostly.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 16: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Okay, so I understand that this game gets a lot of hate coming off of the release of MGSV. I get it. But I think much of the harsh criticisms come from subverted expectations as the first new 'Metal Gear' title following the fall out with Kojima/Konami with biases and passions high. (I WAS ONE OF THEM - I SLEPT ON THIS GAME FOR YEARS LISTENING TO THE BAD RECEPTION) However, this game is really not bad. It's just not the game people wanted. If this game was added as a DLC feature/part of MGSV Online, I think it's reception would be completely different. The beginning will challenge you, only a little, as you learn to manage the controls and survival mechanics of thirst and hunger. After a couple hours in you won't even be thinking about it. Daily log-in reward bonuses always offer clean water and rations among other items. It's damn near impossible to run out of food/water resources. There's also daily and weekly challenges yielding extra resource rewards. (Don't be afraid to drink dirty water to manage thirst) You'll find containers that unlock recipes for cooking and crafting. You'll get to craft a wide variety of weapons and equipment. You also get to build, customise, and defend your base camp as the game progresses. It is a joy to return to the Fox Engine with all of the recycled assets of MGSV. Yes, the story is silly. (I'm not finished it yet) But the gameplay makes up for it. This game has growing pains if you're used to MGSV, but it will grow on you. Especially if you have friends. Fending off waves of zombies is hella fun together. As you aim for S ranks you get insanely good rewards and recipes you get to take back with you to your single player campaign. Keep progressing Single Player, and as you grow, return to Co-op modes to put your progress to the test for further rewards. The Co-op staging area is so cool I can't even. You can see everyone's load-out plastered on a huge wall in the background so you can help one another optimise what you need to handle zombie waves. There's a firing range where you can spawn targets, you can spawn all of the crafting benches/cooking for mission prep. You can shoot each other for fun too. unlimited hunger/thirst and ammo in the staging area so you don't have to worry about that. I'm really enjoying my time with Survive. Honestly, far more than I thought I would be. You have to put the Kojima/Snake stuff in the rear view mirror for this title and enjoy it for what it is.
It's actually a pretty solid game... ;-) Story-wise, it's not the typical, totally complex & convoluted story like Death Stranding, but the story is okay and the game itself has a few Kojima fingerprints in it. But you have to know that: It's just kind of a tower defense + base conquering + exploration + resource grind game loop. And it works great on Steam Deck!
Definitely a unique game and frustrating at first. Patience and learning open this beauty up.
メタルギアシリーズとしてはどうかと思いますが、単純にサバイバル・クラフトゲームとしては長く楽しめるゲームです。
