Inspired by RuneScape, Melvor Idle takes the core of what makes an adventure game so addictive and strips it down to its purest form! This is a feature-rich, idle/incremental game combining a distinctly familiar feel with a fresh gameplay experience. Maxing 20+ skills has never been more zen.

Prices

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.29/day in the week to Aug 16 → 5.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
⚔️ Melvor Idle Review 🐉
This game feels much deeper than most idle games I’ve played. Things like boss fights actually need planning, making sure you’ve got the right resources stocked up and the right skills levelled before jumping in. I’d even go as far as saying this is my favourite idle game to this day and I’ve played a lot of idle games over the years. A work colleague showed me this game around 7–8 years ago as something to pass the time when bored. I’d never even heard of idle games before, and when I was shown Melvor… my mind was blown! I played itt in the browser for years before finding out it was on Steam, so I had to pick it up here too. Melvor gave me RuneScape vibes straight away, which definitely helped keep me interested. The game can be very very slow though. There are mods out there to speed things up, but personally I stayed away from them and just played the game on and off over the years. One downside I found is there is so much to collect and complete that some things take forever. This game 100% requires patience, and I mean a lot of patience. I know most idle games are meant to be like that, but Melvor takes it to another level. On the plus side, after playing this, every other idle game feels fast and easy lol. I’ve got a few saves on regular playthroughs and two hardcore runs. Some saves were mainly focused on making money which I did by selling fishing and cooking, while others were more like test runs to try different gear strategies. I even ended up making one setup that was ridiculously overpowered and melted everything, which was great fun! Hardcore is where the game gets really interesting. If you die, that’s basically it game over and start again. At that point planning matters a lot more, and being smart with your gear and progression becomes massive. I used the Wiki and Discord quite a bit for guidance, I did die twice, but third try was a charm! I’m proud to say I’ve now got 100% achievements!!! and honestly, this is probably my proudest 100% game. If you enjoy levelling skills, crafting gear, farming unique drops and using those rare drops to push combat further, then I think you’ll love Melvor. It’s heavily AFK and heavily based around patience, but the price is absolutely worth it for the base game and DLC's. Get your gear on and go take down some bosses 🏹
Tip: If you want to find more reviews like this, check out our curator page Moon's Tea House
Game starts up in a solid, familiar format for runescape (3?) players. As you do in any idle, you acquiesce yourself with the game's many resources, and 1/4 of the way through you're out of inventory space. Don't give me infinite things and block my access to them, please. In efforts to then expand bag space with gold, game very quickly becomes a thing you merely log in to check it and leave once more. Then the game limits said offline session for 24 hours. I have no reason to stay in the game and am punished for leaving it offline at my leisure. By the time inventory stopped being crippingly annoying, I no longer cared to come back in. Not for me, I suppose.
As far as idle games go I do like it, but I keep having issues with my save data and ultimately it's not enjoyable enough for me to keep playing it with that in mind.
There are better Idle games out there, even some free ones. This game is weirdly hostile and demanding of your time for an idle game. Like, you will run out of items to do a task and the game will then just sit there, no queuing a new task, no resume previous task, no 'thing that I do when I'm idle'. Then there are the things that need you to check in every hour or so. Things that are onerously clicky like farming, or you could just *pay* to use the 1 click button. You can also tell that the game has been developed over many years because menus and layouts are not standardized and the way you get ahead in the game is by finding the broken things that are out of scale with the rest of the game. That said, the game is borderline unplayable without a wiki tab open, a fan wiki should not be a substitution for unfinished or missing tooltips!
Single player idle game that requires connection to server. It needs an offline mode.
