First time playing through all 3 games, took me about a year. But was well worth it. Really enjoyed my time with the trilogy, definitely iconic.

While the battle mechanics are a bit of a learning curve at first, this trilogy is one of the best RPG experiences I've ever played. Each game is great in their own ways, and it's a great world to get yourself immersed in if you let it. Also the trilogy has Garrus Vakarian, need I say more?
The Mass Effect trilogy isn't perfect, there are some overall plot writing missteps, and sadly every attempt at exploration in each game is a bit tedious, however the world and character writing are so standout that I have been left very satisfied and wishing for more. Mass Effect Legendary edition is pretty easy to recommend, you know something is good when actually makes you consider getting it's mediocre follow up just to experience more of the universe.

Never played Mass Effect and tbh wanted to just see what it's all about, but I got completely swooped in! The story and writing are so good and different from how it's done these days. Even landing on random planets and riding in Mako was surprisingly fun. Not to mention how many hotties here sheeesh. Just finished ME1 and gonna play the rest for sure.

I'm not one to get emotional over books/shows/video games easily, but I sobbed on and off for at least 24 hours after finishing these games due to the love I developed for these characters and this world. Highly HIGHLY reccommend them.
