Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Mass Effect (2007) remains a landmark in sci-fi RPG design, delivering an epic interstellar saga that blends deep narrative choices, memorable characters, and strategic third-person combat into a cohesive whole. As Commander Shepard, you’re thrust into a universe on the brink of extinction, tasked with uniting disparate alien races against the ancient Reaper threat. From the opening mission aboard the SSV Normandy to the climactic assault on Ilos, BioWare crafts a story that feels both vast in its galactic scope and intimate through its personal stakes. Narrative & Characters At its core, Mass Effect shines brightest in its storytelling. Each dialogue choice carries weight—whether you’re defusing a tense standoff between turians and batarians or consoling a squadmate haunted by past mistakes. The loyalty missions for Kaidan, Liara, Wrex, and others deepen these bonds, revealing personal histories that add real emotional resonance to the broader conflict. Villains like Saren and his indoctrinated forces pose a genuinely unsettling threat, and the overarching mystery of the Prothean archives keeps you hooked from one system to the next. Gameplay & Combat The PC version refines BioWare’s “action-RPG” formula: cover-based firefights interspersed with you and your two-person squad deploying biotic powers, tech abilities, and weapon fire in concert. Combat encounters feel tactical—choosing when to throw a singularity to group foes, strip shields with overload, or kick an enemy off a cliff all contribute to dynamic engagements. Character progression is flexible: you can mold Shepard into a soldier, adept, engineer, or hybrid, and customizing weapons, armor, and abilities lets you tailor tactics to your playstyle. While occasional AI pathing quirks pop up, they never derail the satisfaction of a well-executed battle plan. Visuals & Technical Performance Even by today’s standards, the sharp textures, detailed character models, and sweeping planetary vistas hold up well, especially with higher‐resolution mods that the PC community has produced. The UI translates smoothly to mouse and keyboard, providing quick access to inventory, squad commands, and the galaxy map. Load times are minimal on modern hardware, and minor frame-rate dips in busy combat zones rarely mar the experience. Frequent auto-saves and robust customization of graphics settings ensure both stability and visual fidelity. Legacy & Replayability Mass Effect’s branching storylines and Paragon/Renegade morality system encourage multiple playthroughs—different choices unlock new dialogue, alter mission outcomes, and even affect which squadmates survive key moments. The success of the PC edition’s mod scene—from graphical overhauls to fan-made romances—only extends its longevity. Whether you’re chasing every ending variation or simply reveling in the camaraderie of the Normandy crew, Mass Effect stands as a genre-defining adventure whose narrative ambition and gameplay innovations still resonate nearly two decades after its debut.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

боевка полный отстой уже в 2007 была на фоне великой gears of war!!!
-Quick Review- Mass Effect is an RPG developed by BioWare and released in 2007, there’s a few things which set Mass Effect apart from “just another space RPG”, the game was developed with the intent to be the first chapter in a game series. So, the world had depth in mind from the start. Also, for the combat sections instead of taking turns where you pause the game to plan out attacks like in KOTOR you’re actively running, gunning, and taking cover in 3rd person mode. Review Video: If you don't like reading, or are curious about watching gameplay check out my video here: https://youtu.be/kKIYeqqNBlg -Detailed breakdown review- Story: You play as Commander Shepherd. Shepherds’ appearance, background, class and first name are all customizable. I decided to embrace the horror of the character customizer as I attempted to make the squarest looking jawline known to mankind and gave him blond spikey boy-band hair. (The story for Mass Effect is pretty good, so unless you WANT to be distracted every time you see your characters face, don’t go nearly as overboard as I did) Mass Effect starts out with Shepherd being sent on a mission to investigate a human colony of Eden Prime to recover an unearthed Prothean beacon. The mission goes wrong when suddenly a Cybernetic race known as the “Geth” attack the human colony on Edan Prime. To wrap up the first few hours of storytelling in Mass Effect, Shepherd and friends go on a galaxy wide quest to stop Saren, a rogue turian Spectre... but first you need to prove Saren is a traitor, then you get to explore/search all over the galaxy for him. Shepherd and friends will chase Saren all over the galaxy in the starship called the SSV Normandy. In addition to the main quest to stop Saren, there are a number of side missions, codex entries to be collected for even more information on the history and lore of the Mass Effect universe, and lots of dialogue to be listened too from random NPC’s and interacting with the different squad members Shepherd gathers Much like in Knights of the Old Republic, there is a morality system, but rather than labeling choices “Lightside/Darkside”, in Mass Effect it’s “Paragon” for selfless virtuous choices, and “Renegade” for intimidating violent choices. You’ll unlock unique Paragon/Renegade dialogue options if you make enough choices to get enough Renegade/Paragon points. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3430067485 Gameplay: The two main gameplay modes in Mass Effect are: Fighting in 3rd person and having dialogue conversations with characters. I didn’t find the combat in Mass Effect 1 very compelling. At first, I was delighted at real-time combat, when I was expecting KOTOR turn-based combat… However, I quickly lost interest in the cover-based third person shooting and tried to beat the sections as quickly and with as much cheese as possible. The relation between Character Levels, Gear, and Skills, in regard to doing damage to enemies really didn’t interest me, so I just auto leveled up and equipped whatever new gear I found. The principle of “I see Green Numbers, I equip it” prevailed. When you’re not running around ducking behind cover and shooting the bad guys, you’ll be running around talking to people instead. Flying from planetary system to planetary system (There's a whole set of solar systems you can visit and examine, which at first overwhelmed me but you’re not able to actually land on EVERY planet in a system). Sometimes you’ll also need to navigate on the planet by driving around the All-Terrain Vehicle called the “Mako”, sometimes you’ll be unlucky enough to need to fight in the Mako too, my preferred method of combat was to try snipe people from as far as possible and dodge the incoming blaster bolts… before I take too much damage and need to redo the whole section. (I’m not bitter, you’re bitter!) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3430067926 Conclusion: On the whole Mass Effect was a good experience, my first playthrough took me roughly 20 hours… Had I owned Mass Effect instead of Knights of the Old Republic I would have played this game religiously and learned every little nook and cranny. Coming back to this game as a newcomer to the series… I’d recommend Mass Effect to anyone who wants to play a classic title, for nostalgia sake, or for the story/lore of Mass Effect.
This was easily one of the best games I've every played - the whole series!
This game has set the standard for storytelling as far as I am concerned. I measure all other games against this series.
6/10 - Ditched this version and played the Legendary Edition to romance Garrus, and you should too.
Я хз как вы в это играете. Три раза начинал. Три раза дропал. Самая скучная rpg в жизни
30 Minutes in and we got our first crash. Rather poor mechanics but gotta give it some slack as its from 2007, still probably wont return to this
Most kino game known to man
Prety groundbreaking game for its day and still playable for those that seek it now. I am not going to say much because my main point is that this game runs more on hopes and dreams each year. Gound that doesn't load, character models that doesn't load, sometimes you appear in the darkness of space inside a space station. Haven't played the remastered yet, but for how cheap it comes when it is for sale, I would take a look on it if you really thing of playing the first game, and the rest as they are in it.
