Explore the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV, scavenging valuable loot in a high-stakes survival first person shooter from the creators of Halo and Destiny.

Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.14/day in the week to Jul 22 → 49.38/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game plays well and has EXCELENT gunplay. It is definitely difficult but that shouldn't turn you away! I have high hopes for the future of Marathon!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Starting out is a lot more forgiving than I expected given online discourse. They have a separate Beginner Perimeter map you can play until you hit level 12 so that you aren't immediately thrown into the deep end. If you're doing contracts, that gives you probably 6 or 7 runs to get a feel for how things work while matchmaking you with other beginners. I successfully exfiled the first several runs I did without running into anyone, always solo. The first time I did normal Perimeter, it wasn't until after I exfiled and was spectating other players that I realized I accidentally went into trios as a solo, so there may have been some luck there in getting out alive without running into anyone. Overall I really like the game. There's an addictive quality to it where if I get killed, it just makes me want to try again. In my 30+ hours I've yet to encounter a situation where I died and it wasn't something I could have avoided somehow. If this game closes down, I'm going to be really sad. The music, the audio design, the visual style, the mysterious backstory, the beautiful environments, and the motion graphics are all so incredibly well done. It would be a great tragedy for all this hard work to end up in the trash. There are two main issues I would highlight: 1. No Linux support is bad. From what I can find online, there is no technical reason this game cannot run on Linux and it is entirely up to Bungie to enable it. Free this game from its Windows prison. 2. Matchmaking can take several minutes. That's several minutes of complete downtime. They give you access to the Codex on the matchmaking screen so you can at least do some reading but I can totally understand the frustration people feel when they die and know that getting back into another game is going to take like 3 to 5 minutes minimum. Here's hoping Bungie has enough cards up their sleeve for the December/March updates to turn things around and bring in more players.
If you don't live in or near North America, Europe, or some parts in Asia do not buy this game. 115 hours. Roughly 70% of my playtime was actual gameplay, the other 30% was sitting in lobbies waiting for a match. The loading screen getting into a game is also still a epilepsy inducing screen. I bought this expecting a PvP extraction shooter. What I got is turning into a dull PvE game. That is not what I paid for. Server Slam & Season 1 the FPS was okay. Season 2 it dropped dramatically and hasn't recovered since. I don't see them fixing it. I'm on 1440p getting around 65-70 FPS, which isn't good enough for what this game asks of you. Prepare yourself to run with toxic team members as well. So much money spent on this game... It still feels like an early access game. You will be a guinea pig playing season to season they don't know what they are doing and what this game will turn into or be. Marathon: [strike] Hardcore PVP Extraction shooter. [/strike] [strike] PVE Extraction shooter. [/strike] [strike] Rogue Like/Lite PVP/PVE Extraction shooter [/strike] I will try Season 3 but I don't expect any major things, I hope I'm wrong but dealing with the servers/ toxic players and bad fps I won't stick around long if its not fixed. Finally Sony is using this game as an example to showcase that Bungle is not capable of running live servers game(s) anymore to hopefully sell the company or just get rid of them.
amazing game just sucks the situation it was put in

I didn't think I'd enjoy another Bungie title after Destiny, but here I am. It's a little rough at times for my ancient hardware, but still playable enough at the lowest settings.
Good game. I hope it stays alive, it deserves to. Def needs a full PvE version like tarkov. Fun combat, really really cool world and art style. Music is out there in the best way. It's not for everyone, but if a pve mode comes out, try it on free weekend.
gameplay is tough but so good. It might not be your cup of tea but if it is then it hits
I really did not think I was gonna like it cause it is an extraction shooter but it has been fun to play. I play solo but if you had friends to play with I am positive it'd be sick. Learning curve for sure and the game doesn't hold your hand, but when you think you finally figured it out and go into one of the tougher areas and everything is going wrong, it will be exhilarating and you'll have a blast. Until you die...
