Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.14/day in the week to Jul 22 → 49.38/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.

Great game, cannot recommend.
This game is unreasonably difficult which is why after Bungie spending over 200 millions on it they now have less than 4k daily players. It almost feels like people who made this game forgot that majority of the people who play games do it to relax and have fun.
400 hours. Dipped out to play the final Destiny update after my entire friends list gave up on Marathon. Came back because the gunplay is good. Solo game on nightmarsh, extracted. Had me spectating another player, tried to leave, said I'd lose my stuff if I left as if I had died and was spectating a teammate? Wait for timer, kicks me. Everything is gone. Took a gold key to regular marsh. Got to key room. Disconnected from server. Tried to join back, game keeps spam asking me if I want rejoin the game, never connects. Lost gold key and another solid loadout. I'm not defending this game anymore. This game never should have been an extraction shooter whoever made that executive decision I hope and pray was in the lay offs. This game would have thrived as an arena shooter.
The game is dead??? Cant find a game for the past 25minutes...Not even one....Didnt play it for couple of months. So have no idea whats going on. Is it done?
Marathon should of never been made into an Extraction Shooter, it should of been made into a PVE Experience, add more stories, etc. The Art Style and Gunplay are the only things I can say I liked about it. If I want to play an Extraction Shooter I can go back to play Escape from Tarkov. This isn't the same team that brough us the Halo Series or early Destiny, this team brought us a game that no one really wanted and Destiny 2 died for.... what a waste.
There is a lot to like about this game, and ultimately after completing all of the objectives I wanted to complete, there is this odd moment of clarity where something dawned onto me. I don't care about the gear, I don't care about the upgrades, I don't care about the Shell, I don't care about the quests, I don't like the maps, I really don't like the puzzles, I don't particularly like the PvP, and the PvE is not captivating enough to standalone. I was captivated by the gunplay and that by itself. Everything else feels haphazardly put together. This is one of those games that I want to like but ultimately it just doesn't feel cohesive. And the moments that do feel cohesive feel obtuse. I hope it succeeds and I hope something makes me return to change my opinion.
The game has honestly collapsed. I know there's a PVE update coming soon, but if you haven't played before, don't start now. The playerbase is so small now that the level of gear/skill has concentrated to the point where every person you run into is one of the top 1% of players who've stuck with the game all this time.
So i don't have a lot of playtime, so keep that in mind. I originally found it hard to get into and due to the, in my opinion, rather overwhelming feeling this game can give, i stepped away from this game for a bit but wanted to at least try it again now. In my comment here i am going to leave out what probably everyone has heard 10000 times. Like ya sure we all know there was this art scandal, the layoffs and so on. I am very uncertain about this game. The games aesthetics to me are on the one hand too other worldly to like but on the other hand also unique and interesting. I most certainly dislike this pixelart like thing, these pixelated hands, weapons and what not. But this amazing sound design, this what looks like smooth surfaces in an otherwise unsmooth terrain. Personally i come, even after returning to the game for a short run after so many months, to the conclusion that i don't think making it a pvpve extraction shooter was a good idea. Unlike characters like arc raiders this has to much detail, to much intention, to much interesting stuff that just seems thrown out in an extraction shooter. I think even if they had made this an entirely different kind of game it would have been better.. like i am not saying this doesn't have it's own flair.. i am saying the intention and detail feels overwhelming but lost here. I mean sure i am maybe not the best candidate to rate that as a not neurotypical person.. but this just feels to much for a game where you need to listen to footsteps of potential enemies and so on. When it comes to the lore i am not sure either. In general i kinda don't like the lore of this game and this game in connection to the original games. I was a vacuum cleaner when it came to Destiny's lore because it was just interesting, breathing and so much extra stuff and so many branches of lore building a network but with this game i am getting elite dangerous vibes.. like the lore is too old, to stationary, to much of a stone in a world that has changed since the original. Of course i could go on now and say "they could have done destiny 3 instead and that would have been so much better" and maybe it would have, but i also think marathon could have been different and i just personally find it hard to like it, tho i do recognize the work that must have gone into making this game. So not sure about marathon. Just not sure. I will mark it as thumbs down because it just seems more correct then giving it a thumbs up while i am not even sure if that fits. But i just don't know.
