Mago is a retro 2D platformer that puts us in the boots of a sorcerer, who was unfortunate enough to eat evil overlords' food. Now he has to rescue his beloved princess from the dinner menu of the evil Gourmet! Nostalgia awaits!

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

buen juego
I'm really sorry, but I have to leave a negative review. It's very obvious that this game is a work of passion, coming from a developer who loved NES/GBC platformers. The art style, the little animations, the attention to detail... this game oozes charm. Which, unfortunately, makes it even more jarring when you realise how many shortcomings are present in it. First and foremost, the game loves to waste your time. You can notice it as soon as you get into one of the large, empty overworlds, where you travel at a snail's pace. And you'll be forced to do it whenever you want to change levels, since the game has no level select menu. Each death, it will take about 7 seconds to respawn, and since the levels are way too long, with a very small amount of checkpoints, and a lot of ways to die in one hit (plenty of bottomless pits, very precise jumps, way too floaty controls, plus a lot of hazards that can drop you into the pits), you'll be stuck in those 7 seconds for a lot of your time. Even more so considering how close-up the camera is (in some cases, you are gonna be hit by attacks coming from enemies entirely offscreen), forcing you to play the same part of a level multiple times until you memorize the location of every hazard. TL;DR: the game emulates the early 90s platformers very well, in both the good and the bad. If you have a high tolerance for old-school random bs, then you might enjoy this game, but I can't recommend it: the lack of QoL makes it a really hard sell. Even if you really loved that era of videogames, tho, I wouldn't consider buying it for more than 66% off. Completionists beware: the game has 7 unobtainable achievements. From the looks of it, they were supposed to be implemented with an upcoming DLC, but since the last update of the game was in 2023, I doubt they will ever be. I'll change this part if they'll ever be achievable.

entretenido e interesante, grande Pepe
