Great game, but absolutely terrible technical state. Constant crashes, does not work for longer than 10 minutes. DO NOT BUY.

Утро. Африка. Сидит одинокий колдун на берегу реки. Тишина. Вдруг где-то далеко раздается: "Пошееел ты нааа х*уй...". Колдун в непонятках, что за херь такая, но вроде больше ничего не слышно. Вдруг уже ближе снова раздается: "Пошееел ты нааа х*уй!" колдун вообще ничего не понимает, но заинтригован... Тут из тумана медленно выплывает наперсток с маленьким Петровичем. Приближается, и колдун замечает, что в наперстке сидит мужик и гребет Х*ЕМ. Улыбнулся колдун и говорит: Ты бы ещё ложками греб! И ТЫ ПОШЕЕЛ НАА Х*УУЙ!!!!!!!!

игра не является казуальной,так как помимо противников в виде монстров и молний когда ты промок. каждые пол часа у тебя босс в виде вылета на рабочий стол

It constantly crashes, freezes, hangs, etc. Not even the fixes available online worked for my friends and I. We made it once through Chapter 1 without crashing, and were unable to get beyond the beginning of Chapter 2 because of the games instability. I genuinely have no clue how I managed to get to Chapter 11 a few years ago, and part of me thinks it has to do with more modern OS's making the game run even worse. Even worse, we all bought the DLC because we intended to beat the game completely after a few years of it sitting in our backlogs...and now we're all stuck with DLC for a game that is unplayable. [b] Update: [/b] I did manage to get my money back for the DLCs after a bit of a battle with Steam Support. Thank god.

One of the best games you cannot play anymore. At it's core, Magicka is one of the most fun co-op games you can play. Chaotic, and absolutely hilarious at times. At it's current state it is completely unplayable, I have no idea why but this game just crashes every single time and at seemingly random intervals with no obvious trigger. Do not buy at the current state, it is unplayable.

Amazing game, but it crashes a lot — or at least it used to. Still a fun game years later. But crashes far, far too much now.

I spent hours to find this and this is the best fix I have found. I bought this years ago but I have recently decided to replay it and achievement hunt. The first link is some sort of patch which doubles the RAM capacity in game from 2GB to 4GB and the second link seems to be the only way to limit the frame rate of the game. A classic Co-op game from 2011 and one of my favourite games of all time. Sadly, its not practical to play this game at time of writing. While there are a number of fixes out there (both involving community patches and downgrading the game version). I haven't found one that works while trying to play in multiplayer. if you are considering picking up this game be aware that you are in for some serious troubleshooting and frequent crashes.
