The world’s most irreverent co-op action adventure returns! In the next chapter of Magicka, players ascend from the ruins of Aldrheim to experience a Midgård almost wiped free of Wizards after the Wizard Wars, with the few that do remain having either gone mad or extremely hostile toward all others

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

BOIL THE CRABS!
Magicka 2 is fun—I played it before, finished the story, and came back to play it again after a decade. It’s a classic and enjoyable game, though it still has some minor bugs. You don’t need a Paradox account to play online with your Steam friends; you can simply use Steam’s built-in Remote Play feature and send them an invite. 10/10 would cast thunderbolt even there is no enemy.

Отличный сиквел, который играется лучше из-за более продвинутой технической составляющей (хоть в коопе нормально можно сыграть). Но по комбинациям и атмосфере как будто оригинал будет лучше

I loved this, BUT I also understand why someone would uninstall it after 20 minutes 😂 I remember playing a lot of the original Magicka, and I had such a good experience with it. Going back to this one, I was a little nervous. I only had about 2ish hours of playtime before revisiting it, so part of me wondered if there was a reason I never stuck with it. Thankfully, I had a fantastic time coming back to it after so many years. It was way better than I expected, and honestly, the game still holds up in 2026. The humour is goofy-silly in the best way. It uses simple humour, crude at times, but for the most part, it has big dad-joke energy. This is not a serious fantasy adventure. The fun comes from the combat, the chaos, and the goofy reality of being a magic wizard who does not really care about consequences, nearby citizens, or basic safety lol. The spell system feels great, and I really was surprised by how many different combinations it gives you. Enemies have different weaknesses and gear, and you can even use spells to enchant your weapons before attacking physically. There are so many ways to cast spells too. You can use area-of-effect attacks, target enemies directly, or even cast spells on yourself. With so many possible combinations, the game really rewards experimentation. And it is chaotic. Like, really chaotic. You have to clear the enemies in each area before you can move forward, and I was constantly killing myself by accident, which was hilarious. I would walk through water, try to use electricity, and, of course, immediately electrocute myself. The game respects the "authenticity of science," except it applies it through magic, which I think is pretty neat. I love when systems feel grounded, even in a ridiculous fantasy world. What frustrated me most was the controls. You have to think about so many things at once. You need to click where you want to go, keep yourself moving, select the right spells, cast a spell to run faster, heal yourself, and manage your spell queue. If you stack too many spells, you get heavier and start moving slower. There are a lot of systems firing at the same time, and the game does not take long to test you. Within' thirty minutes, I could already feel it. I am a gamer gamer, so I enjoyed the challenge, but I can absolutely see how it would frustrate someone else. That said, I also think a lot of the challenge came from playing solo. With a friend, someone can revive you, help manage the chaos, and make the whole experience easier. Thankfully, the saves are frequent, so even when dying, it just restarts the encounter. So death didn't feel like a big punishment, just something that you knew was going to happen and you get to try, try again until you succeed. I really do think co-op is almost required for the full experience. My strongest memories of Magicka are playing with a friend, accidentally killing each other, trying to coordinate spells, and making everything worse before making it better. I just think that's where the game really does shine. I'd highly recommend picking it up on sale and playing it with a buddy 😊.
Basically the same as the first Magicka game, but worse. It's been quite a few years since I've played the original but I remember really enjoying it. This one I could barely play for more than an hour. The jokes feel stale. Sometimes when you die, you get revived in a place that immediately kills you again. Sometimes the camera decides to stop following you. The game doesn't even stop running properly when I quit. Basically, it feels like they tried to milk the success of the first game with little effort.
