Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Magical Delicacy is a combat-free Metroidvania-lite with a complex cooking system. Set foot in Grat and get lost while platforming through this twisted town - find and explore open pathways or fulfill the complex orders of the townsfolk to progress and unlock new kitchen tools.
Platforming and exploration lie at the heart of Magical Delicacy and are required to collect ingredients and progress within the game. Toggle the Easy Platforming mode in the settings if you want a more comfortable platforming experience or have trouble with challenging passages.
Play the young witch Flora and discover a bustling town in this Metroidvania-inspired wholesome cooking game. Cook meals and potions in your customized kitchen by carefully selecting the right ingredients. Navigate the town in casual platforming to meet the townsfolk, take up their orders, and learn about this world of magic.
Flora travels to a distant town to fulfill her dream of becoming a proper witch. She opens up shop in Grat, a harbor town built upon cliffs, where adventurers settled to chart an unexplored island full of mystery. As she engages in the town’s thriving economy, she stumbles upon two members of opposing covens. The witch Cassia and the magus Tauno have a lot to teach Flora, but they also know how to use her in their dispute about magical beings.
Visit a beautiful harbor town, a densely packed space with people to meet, history to discover, and many opportunities to improve your business. Shop at merchants to buy various keepsakes and upgrades. Accept dozens of orders from the townsfolk asking for your magical food. Meet mysterious travelers, shop owners, forgotten legends, and masters of their crafts, some of which might only appear during day or night. Unravel long-forgotten secrets of the island and its mystical creatures.
Cooking delicious meals for your customers requires the correct ingredients. Gather ingredients directly within the nooks and crannies of the town, while some other ingredients can only be bought from merchants. Run out of an ingredient while cooking? Don’t worry - merchants will restock their shops, and forgeable ingredients eventually grow back with a little patience. Upgrade your kitchen to stash a collection of ingredients ready for cooking and experimentation or sell them to merchants for Beads, your precious currency for trading.
Use your acquired ingredients to create magical dishes. Different attributes require you to think about your ingredient selection. Figure out and learn how flavors mix and how to meet customers‘ odd and complex requests for food. Closely follow recipes or experiment with your own creations, then sell or deliver your potions, meals, teas, and pastries to friends and customers. Be it local cuisine or Flora’s hometown recipes, everything to satisfy the tastebuds of different folks, from the croaking Gaball to the feline Tilin.
Start with basic equipment and acquire new kitchen tools. Unlock more rooms to arrange and customize your tools to your liking and maximize efficiency when cooking. Put your unused creations up for sale, sort your ingredients into storage, and grow some plants in the backyard. It would be the perfect place to call your own if it wasn’t for this unwanted roommate and a lingering capitalist dread.

Navigate the town during your deliveries, climb bell towers and old ramparts, or delve through challenging old catacombs. Grow as a witch and acquire upgrades to your movement abilities to discover new routes and hard-to-reach places or open shortcuts that lead back to your store. Uncover and learn the twisted pathways on the map and remember the whereabouts of the townsfolk. Inspired by the Metroidvania genre and condensed into a cozy cooking game.

As much fun as this game's concept is, a lot of the mechanics are really not easy to figure out and I wound up spending most of my playtime extremely frustrated and lost out of my mind. For example: > The oven has the ability to roast vegetables by placing a single vegetable inside and yet the text for the oven says that the oven requires two ingredients. I spent about an hour playing with this alone. I tried adding oil, two of the same vegetable, two different vegetables, etc. until I tried doing the exact thing I was told I couldn't do and it worked. > Which ingredients you need is never made clear and storage is at a vicious, unforgiving premium. Items also do not stack when it comes to the storage count. Ah, you've got a healthy stock of ingredients that you've bought and grown? Great! You'll need to parkour to the other side of the map for a rare mushroom for one specific dish. > I never managed to figure out the flavor mechanics. I got a recipe that demanded something roasted, creamy, a mushroom, and an herb, but the dish needed to come out delicate (an exceptionally rare trait). Another hour gone toying around with the ingredients, wasting money on vendors, hopping around the map, and maxing out my storage again, and I never managed to make this. There were several different orders that felt legitimately impossible and I had started to wonder if the game was bugged. The art is absolutely gorgeous and I love the dreamlike feeling the city has. The controls are quite good, the music is perfect for a cozy game, and the gameplay and concept overall are fantastic. But wow is this game going to steal your time and give you relatively little enjoyment back. When I did manage to figure out some obscure mechanic, it wasn't joy I felt, but relief that it was finally over. When it comes to incomplete, missing, or altogether incorrect instructions, wild goose chases, and people asking for the literally impossible and telling me "I'm sure you'll figure it out lmao," I get more than enough of all of this at work. This I think is my real problem: this game felt like unrewarding work. The game isn't even necessarily challenging, but it was grindy in the way that old Harvest Moon games were. In those games, nothing was documented or given to you and you just had to try every single combination physically possible to figure out how to cook all the dishes in those games (although at least they had a wiki that wasn't completely wrong in every single section like what few guides I found for this game were). While this game does have recipes you can buy (mercifully), actually putting them to any use is an absolutely unforgiving time sink regardless. Overall, I can't recommend this unfortunately. What little fun I did have really did not make the overall experience worth it.

finished the game while offline, got 80% achievements. the game is good, but my constant question was why women's chests move like water balloons. in fact, why do they move at all, is it a separate entity. it made my question if the game is fetish content at first. actually, it made me question it every time i run and jumped. i still question it. the cooking was good. game design 8/10 storyline? only present to unlock new locations and tools relationships between characters and lore? non-existent
Cute game, cute aesthetic, but dull game play. I want to like this game, but it is just... eh.
Very cozy and relaxing game with the fun aspects like collecting and completing tasks like stardew however it doesnt have the time based deadlines, which I really liked since it has given me plenty of time to explore and get into the lore and character interactions without feeling like I have to rush back. The game is adorable and just lovely to look at. Im so obsessed
As much as this game has grown on me, it's really grindy from the get-go. Story and music are okay. The cooking mechanic can be a bit confusing at the start, but once you figure it out, it's pretty easy. Fast travel takes a bit to get to, and getting around the map CAN get tedious. Menus can be frustrating with a controller. If you enjoy mindless grinding, sure. I recommend using a guide for recipes if you need help.
If you like exploration, cooking or potion making, and figuring things out, then Magical Delicacy is the game for you. The artsyle is gorgeous and the music is also quite good. However, I did have to look up some guides for some of the recipes. I would say that the game became frustrating at times if I focused on one specific main story quest, because some of them have prerequisite side quests and this is not made clear at all. The best way to play the game is just exploring and doing side quests until you have everything you need to progress the main story. I only wish the map was bigger! I played the game on Steam Deck with almost all the settings on easy. I also really appreciated all the accessibility features!
really dont appreciate FORCED roomates and a world a can barely explore.... i just wanted a cute witchy cooking game and instead i get a un asked for platform game, really rude person FORCING themselves as my roommate, ordered me to make food for her, and jumping and hopping all over town just to be ordered to cook MORE food... like wtf.... this could have been such a fun game...
