Normal game is only snowballing, done in a few turns. Ranked is unplayable unless you want to spend money. It's fine if you play friends i guess.
This game is total P2W. I've played Magic off and on since it came out in the 90's. Literally dropped $100 on the game for cards and I still get crazy farmed by all the others in any ranked match. They sucker you in with the FTP and then let you play a bunch of bots and possible first timers (likely also bots to look like players) but when you graduate out of that in a few hours you get utterly slaughtered by insane combos. They are also super stingy with the rewards for winning and what they buy in the shop. Hearthstone and others allow you to be much more competitive if you spend and also give a lot more rewards for winning and daily quests etc. For instance, the daily quest is to win FIFTEEN matches here. If your LUCKY and really good, you might get 50% win rate and for that you get 1 singular card as a reward which will most likely be a common or uncommon. Go spend your money elsewhere, if you were feeling nostalgic like me, you can try it here but for the love of god don't drop money unless you are going to spend $300 to $500.

1$ a pack and 10$s for 4 rare wildcards.. to get anywhere in the game in terms of deckbuilding you cant have fun but have to build decks that win to get any coins. microtransactions are through the roof with this game. and since you cant trade cards with other people it makes it that much harder to get anywhere.
Hurensohn tutorial
Very good.
great emulator of physical MTG but id really like a filter option to exclude Alchemy cards for real world deck building applications
