I think this is a great game really feels like how the Mafia games should feel. 3 was kind of a outlier of the games compared to the first 2 but this one feels right on cue with the vibe of the other 2 games

Story nicht gerade mitreißend, keine offene Spielwelt (z.B. kann man nicht mal mit Pferd über Zaun springen). Man muss sich entlang der Straße bewegen. Sehr kurze Spielzeit (~15h), für diesen Preis nicht angemessen.

This game is not even close to the original Mafia game (never played the remake) or Mafia 2 in terms of writing. The writing is predictable and corny. In some ways it seems like a woman wrote the story to try and create a game centered on the rugged man of her dreams who only exists to steal her, her blue hair and her bull nose ring away from the oppressive hierarchy. *Mafia spit on the ground moment* There is no independent exploration any of the other games had. Other people have covered this. I also have to say there is an element of trying to steal scenes from the original Mafia game and meld them into this one. Those who have played the original will recognize the stolen ideas immediately. I still won't say this game is terrible. It is worth the money on sale. But full price? Nope.
Ignore the critics and the negativity you see online. People say it tastes like vinegar, but once you actually sit down and play it, you realize it’s a old wine. Everyone has an opinion, but if I were in your place, I’d stop reading the noises and just jump in. It’s a fantastic experience totally worth it. Definitely grab it when it hits a sale.
This game is decent compared to Mafia, and Mafia 2, the 3rd was not that great and this was somewhat of an improvement but it feels lazy every boss fight was a knife battle and the graphics had lines going down peoples faces and you had no free roam during the story only a free roam mode. Also bugs were their. I'll give this the 3rd best out of all 4 game this is second last., Would I recommend this to a mafia fan, NO but to anyone who hasn't played Mafia, I will recommend as the standard wont be as high as others. My all time favorite story game in the Mafia Series specifically Mafia 2.
