One of the best video game adaptation based on movies, really underrated!

Based on the movies, the game is really great depiction of the Mad Max universe.
Mixing best of both worlds, the overall design and epic of Fury Road, and the grittiness, Max focus side of Mel Gibson's Max.
[h1]Gameplay[/h1]
Game takes place in an open world area, with a main quest and a lot of side activities like camps, lootable places, similar to Far Cry. And a ground combat system comparable to Batman Arkham combat but more brutal and primal.
It may sound like it's not very original but the game executes those ideas very well!
The game has 2 set of gameplay for the combat side: cars and hand-to-hand combat
[h3]Vroom vroom[/h3]
What would be a Mad Max game without oil and throbbing engines! And it's clearly the best part of the game. The driving feels amazing, never used the fast travel during all my playthrough (except for achievement grinding). You have a lot of tools to use with the car, grinding them to death, harpooning the tires, ramming etc. It's very satisfying to 1vs5 cars while driving fast and seeing them explode (really great explosion effects)!
[h3]Hand-to-hand[/h3]
Some moments will ask you to get out of the car and to beat your enemies the old fashioned way. Fighting feels great too, brutal and stylish in its own way. You have some nice tools too and some upgrade to unlock some moves for Max.
[h1]Visual/Ambience[/h1]
Clearly one of the best looking games I've played, even more impressive for a game released in 2015. Graphics are prettier than some "big" games release these last years. Lightning is amazing, the world feels dry with a very good environment design. Usually it's kinda hard to make locations on a desert looks different but it's very well made here. And with excellent sandstorm that feels very powerful. Fighting a convoy inside a sandstorm is amazing and epic!

Audio is satisfying, cars have different engines sounds. Explosions, gunshot feels powerful. The sandstorm has a excellent deafening and loud wind. But I have some audio stutters in specific moments, I could almost remove it completely by changing windows audio format to 24bits 192kHz

An excellent game and one of the best video game adaptation based on movies. I love Mad Max universe and it's nice to have a good game for it (I recommend you the movies too! Fury Road is great and so are the Mel Gibson's Mad Max, specially the second one). I would like to have more interactions with the dog except mine hunting , like being able to fight with it, having bike or big trucks, but the game has a good amount of content and not pricey.
If you like post-apo and wandering across the wasteland with your car, it's a go-to!
I would love to have other games in this universe, like a survival or a rpg, but I'm probably dreaming too much!
