As a veteran otome gamer, this game has surprised me a lot! At first, I was a bit confused by this game and ended up not matching enough with any of the love interests as I didn't realize who anyone was in the biscord chats besides Calais who I wasn't going for (Equinox girlie). This kind of shocked me because I played Mystic Messenger back in the day and I am usually pretty good with otome games, but I think that is what is nice about this one. It's kind of fun to figure everyone out and learn the lore little by little. Very Mystic Messenger like for sure. Super fun to chat with the love interests and get to calls and things like that. After going through all the routes, I like the different personalities and selfie reveals! Definitely still an Equinox girl, but dolphin daddy is up there too ;) Very fun and I can't wait to play more :)
I haven’t played a dating sim in a long time. I legit only picked this up the day before release and by the gods I am so glad I did. I don’t understand 90% of the terminology and that’s okay, but the characters make me happy. It really is like being in a cute chatroom in an old school way. The essays do drive me nuts (one day I will complete one) and e-mails can be tricky here and there, but highly educational. The gameplay is simple and fun and I enjoy the streams and cute little back and forth dialogues. The best thing about this, the game adapts based on choices and there doesn’t really seem to be a truly ‘bad’ choice. It feels good to just play without picking anyone specific. I honestly wasn’t bothered by restarts to pick routes because I got more chances to see the delulu and meme’s of the side characters too. So, main part, love the romanceables- both genders. The characters are sweet and I adore them, I’m sure people will complain about depth, but its early access, give it a bit. I’m sure the devs will give more background and little side things, but as far as I’m concerned they have put out a good product and the price is reasonable. So much replay ability already and I’m a big hater of having to replay games. The twists are what get me the most- once you learn all the things, the chats look so much different xD I love it so much. The devs have me already excited for more and I hope this game gets popular. There was a lot of love and care put into every part and the VA’s- just mmmmm I was a very happy gamer. I can’t even pick a favorite which is what makes this harder. Tl:dr Buy the game. It’s worth it. The story is fast paced enough for dopamine junkies and the chats are fun. You’ll find something new every play through and all the clips and photos are worth it. Trust. Def hope this blows up.

I personally enjoyed this game however there are some notable issues or misgivings (?) i had that may impact other people's enjoyment of the game. i'll highlight what i liked and what i think could improve. There are probably so many typos, just know they are all made with contempt for the english language/j What i liked: The art! The art in this game is incredibly beautiful and pleasing to the eye, and all the designs are amazing! I particularly enjoy the v-tuber designs and the chibis. The characters! The majority of the characters, both non-romanceable and romanceable, were incredibly fun to talk to and i enjoyed the oshi-posting in all the chats. I think the character dynamics are fun and it does feel like a real discord group lol. The voice acting! All the voice actors did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life, i especially enjoy Zeta and Equinox’s voice acting. They’re really good at conveying the characters particular vibe and emotions. The Discord (Biscord!) chats and customization!! It’s fun to customize my own profile. The romanceable characters are very distinct and easy to differentiate! They’re all very dynamic and do feel like their own people and not like love interest 1,2 and 3. Personal favorites are Dolphin daddy and Forever Frog, they’re incredibly entertaining and sweet. The chat keyword definitions! This is an incredibly useful tool for players who arent familiar with the vtuber community and makes the experience more enjoyable overall The writing of the story and the deeper view of the vtuber community and all it’s faults and better qualities is incredibly engaging and a great way to criticize and explore the vtuber community in a differing lens. Overall this might be the strongest aspect of the game. What could be improved The variety of chats and dms, when replaying the game, the chats and dm’s become incredibly repetitive with little variation, of course as the game is in early acsess i can understand why this might be the case, especially for the common route. However it becomes tedious and repetitive to the point i set the chat to instant on all the group chats and click randomly while doing something else. Some of the story, the current build of the demo has certain gaps that break the immersion and flow of the story. This is especially noticeable during the first time-skip where Equinox starts streaming again and our character cannot and does not react to it. This also impacts the pacing of certain romances wizardpit, forever frog and mink! Suffer from this most. Wizardpit’s route SPOILERS Wizardpits route can be incredibly frustrating especially during the timeskips/transition days because it operates under the assumption that the player character assumes he’s equinox yet there’s barely any build-up to this and his subsequent crashout over it (Highkey valid crashout i would do the same) Choices! This may be the result of the game just being in development! This is one of the most important aspects of a visual novel. Choices in this game are few and barely make a difference in dialouge and subsequent romances. It feels very flat? Because of how little the player actually is involved in interacting with the characters. The romance route lock ins could use more time before we lock it in, it feels incredibly rushed T-T This was once again something that was the most glaring in Wizardpits route but is an all-around issue. In my opinion we don’t spend enough time connecting with each love interest before locking in the route and it feels very insta-love/lust as a result even for routes i would consider to be more slow-burn. Honestly interactions between the player and any character fall very flat? It’d be nice to interact with the non-romanceable characters more. having dms with non-romanceables would likely solve this part of the wider issue. Accessibility!! The typing minigame is hell on earth for anyone with a disability that impacts their motor skills and is incredibly frustrating as a result and also makes this minigame inaccsessible for a large group of people. The difference in content for the romances – Forever frog and Wizardpit feel as though they have less content in their romances. Especially forever frog, i feel as though Forever frog is more of an afterthought when it comes to getting content, his route feels rushed in a way different from Wizardpits and Mink! Because we spend so little time actually building up to the romance lock-in in a satisfying and clear way. Ironically despite my criticism of Wizardpits route he’s actually one of my most favoured characters along with Forever frog, which is why i find the lack of content in both their routes so far disappointing though i expect this will improve in the future as we get closer to 1.0 but it still might be a turn off for other players currently.
To start off this review, I want to say that I have enjoyed (and not enjoyed) a lot of otome games. This game is in EA, so it isn't close to being finished. The game starts off with a common route that diverges usually at day 10. Each route contains 2 images of the LI and 2 calls. By the end of the EA routes, some of the MC meet the LI and some don't. I have no qualms with this, as I see it as each character having their own comfort level with meets. And, just like real life, some of us like to meet u sooner than later and some of us take a little more time. The longest EA route I think I saw was day 17. I really enjoy the personalities in the game. Everyone has different writing styles as well. I'm looking forward to seeing the different kinds of hardships each route will have. I have inklings that some will be about personal insecurities getting in the way of the relationships, some may be about dealing with doxing. There are a lot of possibilities. As long as you like and are familiar with the otome genre, this is a really solid start. There are a lot of different LIs, so everyone should find someone they enjoy.
Really enjoyed the demo, and have been enjoying the process of figuring out the different routes and chats that are available in EA. I've played through to the current endpoint on 3 of the 6 routes (within about 24 hours...I need sleep) and am itching to get back in for the other 3. The chats are fun, the various posters have unique personalities, and it's nice when even the common routes play out a bit differently depending on your LI. My main criticisms are: 1) I wish the period in which you're chatting with the various LIs before being locked into a route were longer. We don't get to spend that much time with the characters learning their personalities before being limited to one route. Slowing things down a bit would be great. 2) I wish we could continue talking to the other characters who aren't actively being romanced. It's a bit sad to just get ghosted by them, especially for whoever your #2 was on a given route, because on that last day, you may be actively making plans to meet up with them, and suddenly they never DM you again. And you'll have to go back and redo those conversations over again in order to get onto their route and progress that storyline. Let us have friends! 3) On that note, there is a lot of repetition from game to game. Some of the conversations that happen in the servers do change up a bit from playthrough to playthrough, but many of them are identical. It makes starting a new game to play another route pretty tedious. I have seen another studio handle this by adding a button to skip all content that you've already seen, so it essentially fast-forwards you through to your next choice to make, and will then continue fast-forwarding through dialogue you've already seen, then slow down if you're seeing something for the first time. That would be super helpful here. (I know we have the option to change the chat speed to "instant", which I do when I'm seeing a repeat, but it continues to keep the "instant" pace when new conversations arise, so you have to readjust the slider and go back through what you missed.) I personally don't agree with the criticism that it's unplayable without a guide; I played my first route completely blind, making choices that felt natural to me, and got through to the endpoint of one of the romance options. I went back in to get on the route for my #2 character without any further guidance and got through to the endpoint of that one too. And then went in for a third go and was also successful... When you're aiming for a specific character, it's just a matter of learning their personality and seeing what works and what doesn't. And like any otome, it's good to keep some spare save files so you can reload if you need to! But I haven't needed to save scum here yet. Overall, this is a lot of fun for EA and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. It's not super deep, but it's entertaining and often funny, and it can absolutely reel you in for a while.
I haven't played a proper otome game in years. Rather frankly I'd always thought I was done with the genre entirely, and was still very convinced of such when I'd put this game on my wishlist to support the devs. And then I played the demo, and I could not have been more wrong in my life! The VA's did amazing, the humor is exactly what you would expect from a chronically online vtuber discord server (both good and bad), and each character's personality shines through via your DMs with them so long as you put in the effort. Of course, there are some issues since its Early Access, but the devs are constantly working to fix that! They love this game just as much as the players do, and its so very clear. I'm so happy to have gotten this game and that I fell in love with the genre again because of them! ^-^
I bought this on launch and I felt conflicted about leaving a review. I didn’t play for very long because I knew pretty quickly I didn’t like it. The dialogue is terrible. It’s either bland or your character is an imbecile, and you have to be incredibly precise with every choice to enter a route or they just ghost you. For 17 AUD this game is offensively over priced for the amount of content that is in the game. I did enjoy the UI art and discord aesthetic I felt that was quite accurate! The vtuber terms were explained and highlighted for ease of understanding, however I feel that it’s something you need to enjoy going into it because it’s very intense if you aren’t into vtubing
This game is amazing, you can see the amount of love every little detail has received. From pictures, storyline, minigames... I couldn't be more proud of being a backer (I was also blessed with the beta). Team Nochi is amazing and filled with hardworking people. I cannot even begin to say how happy I am this game has finally dropped. Can't wait for even more content!
I like it! It's not overly complicated, I like the mini games, and I like the mystery of figuring out who is who in the chat :) I saw there were SIX routes now, which is so exciting. I'm sad I'll have to wait until next year to play the full version but I think it will be a good time. I wish I could design my avatar and obviously the demo you only get a sneak peek at one route so I didn't get a taste of what the other routes will look like. Also...desperately hoping there will be more "romance" interactions in the "live streams" like subtle shoutouts or inside jokes that make the player go "hmm could this be the person I'm talking to?" or that hint at the romance with the player. Because the streamer knows who the fan is in their chat, so it would be a fun way to tease them on live. I know basically nothing about the vtube community so I really appreciated the vocab highlights. Great work for such a small team. I'm sad it didn't get the all the stretch goals because I think it would only add more fun.
For now its a No from me. Don't get me wrong I love the characters, art, voice acting, and man I played the demo and had fun. I get its early access but the amount of time spent on this game only to find out it doesn't actually show you what answers you give gets hearts towards one romance option you can basically unlock their routes if you say whatever. I really wanted this game too, but after going for 4 hours being very careful what I picked and then the next hour finding out it didn't matter I just got frustrated. It skips days like crazy too, you don't play any mini games and once you hit a set number of days that's it, start over. I would have thought at least with the inspiration being mystic messenger they would have brought over some of the ideas from that game like you can't date these guys yet but you can play down these guys full route, no. It just hard stops. for craps and giggle I speed up the test speed and doing everything in a day to when the game makes me restart takes 30min tops. I really want this game to thrive and be amazing and it has so much potential, the art, voice acting cast, and the love put into this screams it can be a gem! However its not much past the demo point I think they released the early access way to soon if this is all we're getting.
