For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. I didn't think it was as bad as some of the reviews had said. There were a few puzzles that could've used a bit more of a hint to solve but overall it was good.

I jestem pozytywnie zaskoczony.
Short, buggy and both too easy and too hard at the same time. Most of the puzzles were ridiculously easy, while some of the item interactions were ridiculous. Had to triage the game to get it to work right, but I am not sure it was worth the effort. Even at a reduced price I would not recommend.

Lost Horizon 2 is a classic point-and-click adventure packed with mystery, history, and globe-trotting intrigue. Solve clever puzzles, uncover conspiracies, and follow a cinematic story inspired by old-school adventure films. If you enjoy narrative-driven games with a strong sense of atmosphere and traditional adventure design, this is a solid journey worth taking. 🧭🗺️🕵️♂️
A great sequel to the first part, it is as good as the first one. I liked the story in this one too, it’s a serious story and a great one. I think this time they dialed back the lighter tone a bit. The riddles and puzzles can give you a run for your money, but they are mostly fair and logical, maybe with a few exceptions. I never needed the game's help, I managed to solve all of the riddles and puzzles on my own. The game features several exotic locations and likeable characters. Even over 10 years old, the graphics still look good. The game is slick and user-friendly, fully controllable with just the mouse. It is worth noting that near the end of the game Saving and Loading becomes buggy and because of this bug finishing the game becomes difficult or even impossible and you have to start over (I had to start over, but after that I managed to finish the game without problems). A great, very enjoyable, story-rich point-and-click adventure game in the vein of the Indiana Jones movies, with direct references. Highly recommended.
Lost Horizon 2, developed by Animation Arts GmbH and published by Ravenscourt, is a narrative-driven adventure that attempts to evolve the classic point-and-click formula by blending cinematic storytelling with a broader, more emotionally grounded scope. Rather than simply continuing the pulpy, globe-trotting tone of its predecessor, the game shifts toward a more serious and introspective approach, placing greater emphasis on character relationships and personal stakes within a Cold War-era setting. The story follows Fenton Paddock, now older and more burdened by responsibility, as he becomes entangled in a conflict that spans both political tension and supernatural mystery. At the center of the narrative is his relationship with his daughter, which serves as the emotional backbone of the experience. This focus on family adds a layer of depth that distinguishes the game from more traditional adventure titles, where external conflicts often take precedence over personal ones. The narrative weaves together espionage, ancient myths, and global intrigue, creating a premise that is ambitious and wide-ranging, even if it occasionally struggles to fully develop all of its ideas. Gameplay remains rooted in the fundamentals of point-and-click design, with players exploring environments, interacting with objects, and solving puzzles to progress. The interface is streamlined and accessible, making it easy to navigate through scenes and manage inventory. Puzzle design, however, is somewhat inconsistent. Some challenges are well-integrated into the environment and require logical thinking, while others feel either too straightforward or disconnected from the narrative context. This unevenness can occasionally disrupt immersion, as the pacing shifts between engaging problem-solving and moments that feel less satisfying. In an effort to modernize the experience, the game introduces additional elements such as quick-time events and more cinematic sequences. These additions aim to create a sense of urgency and variety, but they do not always blend seamlessly with the traditional gameplay. At times, these segments can feel intrusive, interrupting the slower, more deliberate rhythm that defines the genre. While they add visual flair and help convey key story moments, they also highlight the game’s struggle to balance classic mechanics with contemporary expectations. Visually, Lost Horizon 2 marks a transition to a fully 3D presentation, allowing for more dynamic camera angles and expansive environments. The game benefits from this shift in its depiction of diverse locations, which range from urban settings to more remote and exotic areas. These environments are often detailed and atmospheric, contributing to the sense of a global journey. However, character models and animations do not always match the quality of the surroundings, occasionally appearing stiff or lacking in expressiveness. This disparity can lessen the emotional impact of certain scenes, particularly those that rely heavily on character interaction. Pacing is another area where the game presents a mixed experience. The story moves forward at a steady pace, ensuring that players are consistently introduced to new scenarios and locations. However, this forward momentum sometimes comes at the expense of depth, with certain plot developments feeling rushed or underexplored. The narrative’s ambition is clear, but it does not always have the time or space to fully realize its more complex ideas. Despite these shortcomings, the game retains a certain appeal, particularly for fans of narrative-focused adventure games. Its emphasis on story and character relationships provides a compelling reason to continue, even when gameplay elements falter. The combination of historical context and supernatural intrigue adds variety to the narrative, giving the experience a unique flavor within the genre. Ultimately, Lost Horizon 2 is a game that reaches beyond its grasp in some areas but still manages to deliver an engaging journey. It reflects a desire to push the boundaries of traditional adventure design, even if the execution is not always consistent. For players who value story-driven experiences and are willing to accept some unevenness in gameplay and presentation, it offers a worthwhile and occasionally memorable adventure. Rating: 6/10
