Game is great, obviously I didn't pay the $5 since this was a gift, but none the less, the game is fantastic I haven't had that much fun in ages.
Game is rough, and not in a good retro way, but in a cheap production way. It's a cheap budget game and you get what you pay for, but that doesn't mean I can recommend it.
Honestly, I was sure that I'll love it, but life is full of surprises. Beneath that ♥♥♥♥-you-we-dont-care attitude there is no hidden brilliance or wicked charm like in Cruelty Squad or Slayers X. No, it's just a very mediocre, boring and janky fps. I don't know, some people say it's somehow nostalgic —they had to play the games found on shady usb-drives full of death files, because Serious Sam, which everyone here compares Limitless Hunger to, was waaaay better. If your game is ♥♥♥♥, but you're self-aware, it doesn't mean it's not ♥♥♥♥ now.

It's... okay Just okay. Nothing about it really stands out but I wouldn't call it bad.
I absolutely had enough fun to justify the price, the weapons are great, movement is fast, and the fights near the end where i juggled 6 different weapons were really, really good. I expected something in the 'so bad its good' category, and got something genuinely great, and if it ever gets a sequel or an expansion pack, i'll buy it for sure
This game is the perfect example of what i'd call: "Not good, just fun." This is to say that the game is of poor quality in terms of visuals and elements of design, but manages to be just fun enough to play overall for me to not care about any of that.
It's typical unityjank, but it has it's atmosphere, so if you're into retro shooters, it worth a try. Sadly it's very short, all levels should be as long as the first two.
+ ~2 hours playtime + Huge boss fights, similar to Serious Sam & Painkiller. Some bosses have multiple stages, others you circle strafe/dodge their attack patterns long enough to deal enough damage. + Varied and unique levels spanning cities, egypt-themed areas, other dimensions, ice planets etc. The game isn't all red! + Pretty good enemy roster, towards the end you get new enemies that you only see for one level + Fun powerups, including the monster energy drink on the ride-on lawn mower, insane fire rate minigun, BFG + Weapon roster is large enough, feel decent to use and fairly interesting, with special powerups you can unlock for each weapon + Damage/speed upgrades available, end of the game pistols are legit when you're out of ammo for other weapons - No secrets - Platforming when you get the wing/dash item is kind of weird, and you only use it for like 10 minutes - The end felt rushed. The last 4-5 levels you no longer hunt for keys, instead each one is a large boss fight, some with enemy minions to fight, some not. Overall, I bought this full price and I felt I got my moneys worth for a solo dev release. This game is definitely memorable due to the aesthetic and epic boss fights. I see myself replaying this every few months/years, would only take you an evening :)
