We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
好希望你和max见面成为朋友… chole was here rachel was here …max was here

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 16: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Nice to have context for how Amber used to be, but the story felt uninspired and forced. Familiar faces reappear but there isn't a lot of development. They act pretty much how you'd expect them to if you've played LiS, and then the story quickly moves on to the next scene like nothing that just happened mattered. Except the protagonists, I guess. Gameplay wasn't interesting or innovative either.
don't be surprised, chloe, if one day, i'm just out of here
The game explores loss, grief, anger, uncertainty, love, friendship, and more. I really enjoyed learning more about Chloe's life and getting some context about what happened before the first game, especially about the whole Rachel thing. If you don't like Chloe as a character in LiS1, I'd still recommend you to play this one. You'll get to walk in her shoes for a bit and you might understand why she is the way she is. Her "superpower" is to talk back and try to win arguments to get what she wants, and a lot of the dialogue options are confrontational, even when you pick the nicest ones. I wish I could've been nicer or to de-escalate some situations, but she doesn't know how to do that, and in a way, that made me sad. She's just a kid who lost some of the most important people in her life. Her house doesn't feel like home anymore, school isn't going great, and Rachel's going through a lot as well, putting more on Chloe's plate. She's tired, in pain, lonely, and angry. You know you could turn her life around if you made better choices, but those choices are never given to you because she doesn't see them as options. You can't protect her from all the sh!t and pain she's going through. It sucks to know none of your choices really matter. They matter within the confines of the prequel, but no matter how you choose to handle this story, we can't change how LiS 1 starts. It's kind of a bummer, because you definitely run into some problematic people that make you wish you could do something more. As always, the music is awesome, the vibes are immaculate and they do an amazing job at portraying teenage angst, heightened emotions and feeling like every day is the end of the f*cking world. You can finish it pretty fast, it's shorter than the first one and it has a bonus episode that's a prequel to the prequel, when Max and Chloe were little kids.
For some reason I might like this game more than LiS, I felt more emotion, the characters were more carefree, more in touch more detailed, maybe I just watched Twin Peaks and loved the fire walk with me feels, with Rachel and all, I could sympathise with the characters so much more than before. Also I just really really resonate with Rachel, all that’s happened to her. I actually rly like the backtalk mechanic. It’s easy, it’s tense, it affects the story in interesting ways and it is fun gameplay. But most importantly, the songs are SO FIRE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I know I waited a long time to play this one, (please play it after the first LiS) but boy did it hit me like a hammer. One of the most emotionally powerful story-based games I have ever played, and I've played a lot of them. Keep hankies handy. The fact that it is set before LiS makes it all the more powerful since you know about the future of some of the characters already. The bonus episode is also a brutal, yet poignant end to the story, if the main ending didn't crush you enough. This may sound like a downer, but the incredible writing and voice acting makes this a must play. Just trust me about the hankies though...
